Great pizza and beer with late night offerings. I stopped by about midnight on a Friday and they took care of me quickly and with attention to detail. Pizza tasted fantastic and the beer was cold. Highly recommended!

oh boy this review is long overdo, as I have been to bobs many times and consider it one of my favorite evanston gems. I typically order takeout but today we decided to dine in. the atmosphere is always fantastic at bobs, as whoever had aux needs a raise. (seriously, the music is great and is a wide range of rock usually). plus, the bar decor, and layout of the restaurant just bring a really nice feel. (there are also lots of TVs if you are looking to watch a sporting event). i started with a draft beer, which they rotate frequently (this time one of my favorite seasonal beers, Oberon). the rotational ciders are usually a great choice too. we got the fried pickles to start, which have the perfect light crunch, some dill as garnish and a side of ranch for dipping. we also got a apple spinach salad, which was decent tbh. I would recommend the brussels sprouts and arugula salad more. then we got a half wild mushroom pizza, half spinach pesto. there are so many great combos, so i love that you can split them. the sausage pizza, pepperoni and the pickle are great choices too. the pizzas are HUGE and the crust is a lot so one pizza can easily feed 3 people. (even 4 with apps and sides). oh yeah did i mention the pizza crust is made with beer??? it’s so bubbly and crunchy, one of my favorites ! side note: i would also highly recommend the smash burger and the hot crispy chicken, both fabulous. the service here has always been quick when i come and the staff is friendly. when ordering takeout, it’s quick too, and they store your food in a hot box so it stays toasty. plus they have fun nights like trivia, good happy hour and deals throughout the week. it is a great place for college students, adults and even families. after 10, they stop serving apps and sandwiches and becomes more of a bar. it’s open late too which is a bit plus. i love this place and will continue to be a frequent visitor and i recommend trying it !

Great pizza, stayed near on business, ventured down to the only place open after my flight arrived near midnight and this place delivered an amazing pie. Super tasty, lasted me the week of travel and was even better cold the next day. Truffle butter was on point! However had I not expensed this out, it would’ve been a bit pricey for me, but still great none the less. Great job guys.

This pizza is YUM!!!! I used to loveeeeee the restaurant that was there before (whiskey thief) so I was super upset this replaced it and I didn’t order it for so long lol. Finally I gave in and I’m so happy I did!! I haven’t been there but I have ordered the pizza multiple times and it’s got that delicious oily/saucy Chicago style to it and then the garlic honey and hot sauce is such a yummy add. So good, highly recommend!

Found Bob’s by accident visiting, was pleasantly surprised by how great my pizza tasted. I had sausage and pepperoni on a super thin crust. Pizza tasted great. A bit too much crust for my liking, but the crust tasted good, was easy to eat. Maybe adding honey to the table along with crushed red pepper and Parm would be good for those of us to enjoy the crust with!! Overall, the pizza was pretty good ….

Excellent Service, Delicious Pizza. We arrived to Evanston after a 4-day trip from San Francisco and we were hungry for one of Chicago’s favorite dishes. We arrived at Bob’s 5 minutes before closing yet, they sat us down welcoming us as the last kitchen customers. The service was superb, the atmosphere was great. There were lots of people enjoying drinks and conversation. Our pizza was custom: 1/2 veggie and 1/2 sausage with veggies. What I loved about it was the crust and the freshness of the ingredients. Excellent seasoning as well. I am a die hard Lou’s fan but now I know I have another option in Evanston.

Went here when this spot was Whiskey Thief Tavern. Interior and vibe still the same for the now Bob’s Pizza. Fried Pickles were thinly sliced, which I suppose is for their Pickles Pizza (will try another time). The Fried Pickles were good but definitely on the salty side. Pizza was delicious but the body of the pizza could have been a bit better if left in the oven a bit longer vs a floppy base. Crust on the other hand was tasty. I can see good things happening if they had a stuff crust. Their homemade hot sauce is a must try and has a nice texture. Would be nice if they offered pizza by the slice. Overall, nice to see Downtown Evanston have a unique pizza joint.

“Pilsen Style Pizza”–the creation of the Bob’s head chef, Matt Wilde, is crazy good.

The pizza had an amazing thin crust, that was absolutely crunchy without being burnt. The pizza itself was also very good and yummy, it was very well seasoned and everything was delicious. Totally recommend!
