Great experience with an old school vibe on Barksdale Blvd. The ribs were excellent with many layers of flavor and the brisket was delicious. So many places, the brisket is shoe leather but not here.

Hands down best BBQ in this side of Louisana. The meat just fell off the bone of ribs and chicken. Okra was fresh. Red bean and rice was ok but I wasn’t here for sides and that was a last min decision. Cookie was homemade. Will definitely come back.

Extremely nice people but unfortunately really bad bbq everything tasted steamed and it seems like they microwave all of their sides which takes good ingredients and makes it yucky. Their gravy for the rice and gravy was relatively nic. You guys have the right attitude and extremely cute location start using some charcoal and wood for your barbecue. And clean off those bathrooms and you’ll be in great shape. Best of luck guys.

The BBQ here is very good and cooked to perfection. I got the You Won’t Leave Hungry combo and added some sliced brisket to it so I could try most of the different meats.

This place claim their food is better than Marshall they were wrong big tyme. There food is terrible and the ribs are small. I honestly should of got a refund. Never again. Marshall has terrible service but the food better.

While we were attending an all-day wrestling tournament at the CenturyLink Center, we decided to venture out for a bite for lunch. We found Bodacious BBQ nearby and stopped in for lunch. The interior is quaint with country flourishes but the kitchen was hopping. We didn’t have any wait to order our meat plates with sides. We all tried the brisket which was smoked well, tender, and quite flavorful. I tried the smoked sausage (both spicy and plain), my wife the chicken, and my daughter the ribs, along with some various sides. Everything was cooked to perfection. For dessert, we shared an order of the beignet fries, which can best be compared to a funnel cake. After the huge portions on our plates, we couldn’t finish the dessert, but we left well-fed and ready for more wrestling.

Visiting from out-of-state and got some takeout. They were out of ribs, so we ended up with a couple chicken plates and an order of beef tips. Food was okay. However, the girl taking the order was draped across the counter, looking up at us as though she was bored and too tired to entertain questions. I’m glad to be back in Houston, where I can get much better BBQ and customer service.
