My kinda place! Everything was wonderful! Ordered the box car corned beef grilled sandwich with onion rings. It was smallish but perfect size. Looked at every thing coming outta the kitchen and think anything you order would make you happy.

Nestled inside this historic building, there’s a cozy environment and delicious food. First time here, and the staff was polite and friendly. The biscuits and gravy were a wonderful change from the normal generic types you find in a lot of places. Very tasty! The corned beef was phenomenal. So light and flavorful! Country potatoes were perfect. The experience had me feeling like I was eating at a place out of town, instead of in my own neighborhood.Definitely will be back!

If you are looking for a local treasure of good home cooked, no frills yummy food, come here! Make sure you read the old menu to learn about the history and walk around to look at some of the pictures on the wall. My tuna melt was just is delicious the next day as a leftover!

The food was absolutely delicious at a great price. Everyone couldn’t have been kinder. You will enjoy the decor and the step into the past timeless building. The waitress was very attentive and even the owner stopped by to check and make suwe enjoyed our meals.

I grew up going to Bodes and haven’t been in 30+ years. I now live in FL but when I saw a post that they now carry Rumi’s gluten free bread, I set a reminder to go when I was in town. That happened to be tonight and I went just to have a Gluten free Corned beef sandwich. I am SO thoroughly disgusted with one of the cooks(who turned out to be the owner!) who berated a server in front of the entire restaurant and made them cry twice. Come to find out the server is the owners son! Everyone in the entire restaurant was appalled and asked to speak to him but he refused, he went and hid in the back. I walked up to the kitchen counter and expressed my concern and he blew me off and walked away. PLEASE don’t do business with this establishment who treats their employees so badly. Btw…the sandwich was fine, but honestly the whole thing ruined all of our appetites and I’m leaving there feeling sick to my stomach for the treatment of the employees.

This place is hit or miss. It’s not cheap…when the food is as intended, it’s great, and worth the money. When it’s bad…it is really horrible. Each dish is never consistent. Several items ( the cinnamon french toast, the banana nut waffle or pancakes, and the spinach salad) i have ordered and fell in love with, then when i return another day or week and order the same item, it’s made completely different (not the same ingredients, not as stated on the menu). Unfortunate. Just depends on who is cooking and working that day or week. Today was a horrible experience. Walked in, both men and women’s restrooms had out of order signs ( how are you open, as a restaurant! ) walking in through the back, the floors were slippery like thinly coated with oil or something.
