One star is overrating this place. This was an awful experience. Starting with the waitress, she got 2 drinks wrong and it took an hour to get our food! I dont recommend this place to anyone. The owner is very unprofessional. I ordered an appetizer & got charged for the meal and when i asked to speak to her she told me since I had already eaten it then i would be paying for it. She leaned in between my two kids and got in my face and also called me a b****. On our way out (after paying full price) she flicked me off. Not to mention it is very overpriced and my husbands soup was cold! She does not know how to run a restaurant and does not know good customer service.

This was a wonderful place. My wife got the hickory burger and I got the goulash. Both were wonderful. To top it off we shared the peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream. All the dishes are homemade. It has only be open 3 months but I hope it does well and becomes a standard for Helen. I would recommend this as a must stop if you come to Helen.

Food was ok, this was party of 5, we all pretty much got crepes and French toast from what i remember. Waitress offered to bring beer samples which took way longer than it should have and the samples were all messed in type and quantity for the people. For me, my order wasn’t even put in until after I had inquired about it once everyone was half way through with eating their food. When it came time to pay again it took way too long as were given a bunch of excuses like the register not working an – this is when you use a paper slip so your customers don’t have to wait around because of your technical difficulties.

This has been my spot for almost 2 decades. Came in and it has changed. Debbie was great explaining the menu. Found a similar item that I always get. Food was delicious. Service was great. This will continue to be my spot. Highly recommended!!

The best part of the meal was the goulash. Everything else was not worth the price we paid. I ordered a BLT and it came with only two pieces of bacon. Asked for three more and made it myself.

The worst service ever!!! I don’t recommend it to anyone. My husband and 3 kids waited 20 mins just to order drinks and soup, received them 15 mins later, ordered food and got it 55 mins later. we received our food and it was super cold. I paid for the soup and we got up and left. Never again.

Fuzed chicken, stale bread on both of our sandwiches, a 20 minute wait after ordering sandwiches, cold fries, store-bought potato salad, wilted and brown lettuce. 01-Oct-2016, we loved the town but this wasn’t German in any way.

The recommended Turkey sandwich had fatty turkey and dry stale bread. The BLT had ONE slice of turkey for $10 and the dumplings were plain bread. The coffee was nasty.
