Really skimpy with the vegetables on the Bahn mi, breads not toasted at all either. Kind of disappointing, there is a ton of meat on the sand which so I do appreciate that.

What a wonderful restaurant! We stopped in for a weekend brunch and were so impressed by the food, the atmosphere, and the service. The outdoor patio is the perfect place to enjoy a meal with friends, and the food itself is really excellent — we especially enjoyed the kalbi short ribs and the fish sauce wings, but everything we tried was great. Lots of traditional American brunch favorites on the menu, too — we will have to come back to try it all!

BOL is a Vietnamese restaurant that does lots of non-traditional and fusion type foods. Their portions are very big and their prices are decent. They have lots to choose from on their menu, including vegetarian meals and desserts as well. The staff here is nice and it can get busy here, especially when Portage Bay is packed and people don’t want to wait to eat. I’d definitely recommend their fried rice and their beignets and delicious even though they are more like biscuits then fluffy pillows.

This place has the BEST pho I’ve ever had. My partner and I think it is even better than some much more expensive places we have been to. The broth tastes so delicious, complex, and flavourful, and doesn’t even have any MSG in it.
