Excellent service. The food was pretty good. The chairs are hardwood with no padding, so for those of us who don’t have a lot of cushion for the pushing, they may be a bit uncomfortable. The dining area is also very cramped when it’s busy. The menu was impressive with a lot of choices, so I’ll definitely be back to try some other things.

It’s funny I have never reviewed bolder before, it was a Go To restaurant in western Howard county, long ago. It was roughly a year since my last visit before doing restaurant week a few days ago.

We went for happy hour and restaurant week and the food was amazing! We were in the bar and had happy hour drinks, which were also amazing. If I were to recommend a place in the area it would be this restaurant. Shannon was our bartender and her device was fantastic! We will definitely be back!

Consistently good food, drinks, and service. Bolder offers a great core menu with rotating weekly specials and a broad selection of desserts (try the bread pudding – you won’t regret it) and after dinner drinks. Highly recommend the crispy brussel sprouts appetizer, the “bold fashioned,” and the salmon with seasonal risotto. The beef medallions and cornbread crusted chicken never disappoint, but always happy to try something new. Truly never a bad experience at Bolder!

Bolder is located at pretty much the extreme limit of where we are willing to go for a casual evening out.

My first time at Bolder and the food was amazing. Service was excellent and so were the drinks. The only downside I would say is the Vanilla Bean Creme Brulee didn’t have any actual Vanilla Bean. It was still a great dessert. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a lay back place but a meal that taste like its fine dining with out breaking the bank.

This place seems to have come down a peg or two since opening several years ago. Everything seems to be overly oily .. the crispy Brussels sprouts and the omelet we tried a couple of years ago were off-putting. I decided to give it another try recently. I got a salad with salmon. The salmon was nicely cooked and flavorful but their salads could use some improvement. The cherry tomatoes are left whole, should be cut in half. The cucumber slices are so thick and huge you could use them for surf boards. Lettuce pieces too big. I think they do more of a bar business, especially during the various sports seasons.

tl;dr – Bolder used to be great but it seems obvious that the owners/managers/chefs have just given up. They’re still charging 5-star prices but serving 1-star food in a 1-star setting.

I’ve dined at Bolder several times in the past year. Always on point. Service is always above & beyond. Fresh, perfectly cooked, delicious food every single time. Easily one of my favorite restaurants.

This will probably become our new fave restaurant. Got the Shrimp Bolder app; Shrimp & Grits and Bistro Steak Medallions were our entrées, then an Irish Bomb Cake for dessert (seasonal offering). Holy Moly, every dish was delicious and service was superb (Kudos to Kevin, our awesome server)! We can’t wait to come back and bring some friends and family.
