We decided to try Bon Mi based on the reviews & we love pho & bun. What a disappointment. I usually have bun & my husband does pho. He decided to have bun. My bowl had weird vermicelli and the sauce was watered down vinegar. My husband ordered what we thought was fried rice bun since on the menu it was listed under bun. It was spicy FRIED RICE they called bun. Whaaat? So he got a big plate to serve 4 people of fried rice. There were no peanuts on either dish. This place is the worst what a waste of $40. This is fake Vietnamese food. Don’t understand the ratings maybe college students that don’t know any better. Trust me if you want real pho or bun shop around. This was bad. The salad rolls were okay not enough peanut sauce & they don’t have sweet & sour sauce. Don’t waste your money on fake Vietnamese food. I am sorry to have to write this review but I felt compelled.

Very nice people work here. They get down and get with it when serving customers. Now. This place is not my cup of coffee. The bread is good but not banh mi bread. The daikon and carrots where grated on the large holes of a box grater. The thinner strands from using a Japanese Mandolin are much better. They hold their texture better. The pickled vegetables were lightly brined. Not much flavor. The meats? Strange texture on the pork. Not a lot of flavor. I have been told this is several friends favorite Banh Mi spot, so…. I will not be going back.

A local haunt in downtown Eugene, serving Vietnamese cuisine. Catering to both locals and U/Oregon students alike with solid value at reasonable prices.

Worth checking out! I had the red hot pork Bahn mi, soooooo good. Not as spicy as i was expecting, but still yummy. Wish I lived closer to make it a regular spot, but 4 plus hours might be a stretch. At the very least I will be hitting up this spot any time I am in the area! Boba are on point with other places falling short on the pearl front, this place carried the flavor.

The Pho: A bowl of pure comfort, the pho here is an absolute masterpiece. The broth, rich and fragrant, dances on the palate with every sip. Tender slices of beef and rice noodles provide a harmonious contrast, creating a balanced and soothing dish that warms the soul.

Pho is always good food. There are a few options for vegetarians and other options too! Better get there super early if you want spring rolls, since they “sell out”. The restaurant is pretty small with limited seating. The staff was nice but literally said they have never eaten their own food, so take that as you will.

Super delicious banh mi, just wish the jalapeño was spicy! I got the grilled pork sandwich and I could see the jalapeño on the sandwich but it was just sweet, not spicy. Still incredibly delicious!

EXCELLENT grilled pork sandwich, sadly I can’t say the same for the pho though, the beef slices are always too few and too lean, maybe consider adding more variety of beef product?

I’ve had some pretty rough pho before, but I think this one takes the honors. I’m not a person that leaves a review often, but if one person avoids this place based off my review it will be worth my time. We ordered pho, bahn mi, salad rolls, and fried rice. Every last bit of this food was inedible, the beef had a strange taste, the broth had zero flavor, the limes were rotten. The “fried rice” was bland and mushy, no basil. I could really go on, but I think you get it. Take your money to Saigon Cafe, most of the time their pho smacks.
