Ordered delivery (NOT curbside) …and waited. And waited. An hour later/unrelated, I went downstairs to check the mail and found the food bag left on my doorstep. (THAT IS utterly DISGUSTING. Food on the ground where our feet go? Food left in the sun? It’s like they want us to have rats and food poisoning.) Terrible value for my near $30 lunch order with forced tipping.

We’ve been here quite a few times. The food was delicious as always, but today’s customer service was terrible. First, the girl that took our order took a long time to come over. Then she brought out the chicken wings, but no sides, no water. We had to ask twice for 2 glasses of water. She forgot to bring us the raddish for sides. And when we asked, she said she’ll get it, but she never did. We had to ask another person, then he brought us one dish instead of two (we had 2 chicken wings orders, a small and a large). In the end, we asked for the bill and 3 boxes, he brought us only 2. We’d still come back for the food but customer service has got to be improved.

It pains me to write this bad review because I have only been to BonChon twice. The first time we ate in and everything was great from the food to the customer service. Naturally I returned on another day while working and decided to place a takeout order over the phone. First after calling several times and not getting an answer I was forced to place my order online. It seemed to be having issues online as well so I was not sure if my order had gone through or not. I again tried to call a few times with no answer once again. I showed up at the restaurant about 15 minutes after placing my order and was met with a front counter staff member who was on the phone apparently trying to figure out what the issue was with their computers. I told him that I had placed an order online and I just wanted to make sure that they had received the order and gave my name. He looked around briefly and then said that it’s probably in the back and will be out soon. I sat down and waited 15 minutes until he then finally walked up to me and said that they had never received my order to begin with(I later checked my debit card statement and the charge was on there processing). By this point my lunch was over and I had to get back to work. I again called with no answer. Now here is the worst part. I put in a complaint to bonchon’s corporate office. It has been two weeks since that incident, and I have still not heard a word from them. Maybe they will say they never received it also.

Tasty stuff! Korean Fried Chicken is a hit and different from Americanized Fried Chicken because they cook theirs in Olive Oil. The breading is crispy, the sauces are flavorful, and the appetizers are shareable. My only drawback is the coleslaw. My guy had the chicken tacos and the coleslaw was so saucy that it made the tortilla practically unusable. The flavors are there, however. The coleslaw has a sweet quality to it. All over a pleasant experience 🙂

Super family friendly. We want to get it try after we eaten at other locations, got large half & half, fried rice, fries, and edamame. So the chicken was crisp outside and juicy inside, the sauce tasted good. Will definitely take out for party next time.

Ordered boneless chicken wings, 12pc, paid $17 for them… Texture was good but lacked flavor and no sauce to dip them in. Nothing incredible. I have had better boneless chicken wings for far less $. I feel like if youre going to run a chicken restaurant, it should be absolutely delicious at all times. Let me say this again, the texture was good and the chicken was of good quality but it didn’t hit like I felt like it was supposed to and part of the reason I’m leaving 2 stars instead of 3 is because I didn’t get any “secret sauce” or delicious sauce to dip them in…. Maybe they forgot to give it to me. Also, the chicken “wings” were so small its laughable.

The food is great, if you love spicy food or Korea food, you have to try Bonchon. Spicy chicken is the best, fried rice is good too. Also the waiter are friendly and quick to response. The point is if you living in Waltham or around Waltham, this is No,1 Asian Restaurant I recommend.
