We went here for our grandfathers birthday. We had 12+ people there. The waitress was very attentive and able to keep up with all of our questions and needs. The owner (I believe) was there a continually asked how we were doing. The atmosphere is very pleasant. We brought our 2 daughters with, 2yr old and 8mo old, and they had great kids meals and kids cups. The food was very classy and very good. My wife and I loved that most of the food was local and the beer is also for local breweries. This is a great place and I can confidently say that they made repeat customers out of me and my whole family. Definitely one of the best if not “The Best” restaurant in the whole west suburbs.

We have dined here twice, and both times were exceptional. The food is outstanding, some of the best we’ve ever had..and we have dined all over the twin cities and the country. The long bone on last weeks menu was insane! The space is warm and welcoming, and the service is fantastic! We are moving to Delano this summer and can’t wait for many more memorable meals with family and friends here!

We are new to the area and tried Bonde Bistro for the first time this week. I have to say it was a mixed bag. The bartender does a great job of mixing a drink. My Crown Ginger was perfect. My wife ordered the Seafood Pasta and I ordered the full rack of ribs. My wife’s first bite of pasta was perfect. The pasta was done perfectly and that is hard to find in a restaurant. The negative part was the seafood. It consisted of salmon and another fish. She was thinking it would be more shellfish. Sadly, it was quite “fishy” tasting. I also took a bite of the fish and it was quite strong tasting and I love fish. Yes: Fish should taste like fish but this was too much. It was overcooked and the bothersome thing was that there were vertebrae bones in the dish. I know these are fine to eat but it made you think it was canned salmon. With the taste it may have been but I can’t say for sure. I had the ribs and they are good. Well smoked but a little overdone and a bit dry. I asked for additional sauce to moisten them up. The sauce was very smoky. Either they smoke the sauce or use liquid smoke. Others may like this and it is a matter of personal taste. I took half the rack home, warmed them and used another sauce and they were great. The service was great and the atmosphere of the restaurant is first rate. We will be back and try some other entrees and see how they are. I know they have the potential to be much better. As I said the pasta was wonderful and they also have DELICIOUS fries. I wouldn’t be put off by our experience and you should make your own opinion.

Tonight was our first time visiting this venue and will be the last. We were thoroughly disappointed. The music was loud when we walked in. Our food was delivered in a timely manner however we were greatly disappointed. The cod wasn’t hot and definitely didn’t have a flaky fish texture. That along with the fries and the burger that my husband ordered lacked flavor. Our waitress never asked how our food was. The decor and atmosphere was warm and inviting but the food was definitely lacking.
