I was told that Bonfire at The Continental Fire Co. was the best place to eat in Houghton and i was not disappointed. Julie and her staff were excellent. I booked a large reservation and ended up with way more people than planned. Julie was nothing but accommodating in all aspects, the staff did a great job making sure we were all taken care of. I couldn’t be happier with our experience. I would highly recommend going if you never have. Good food, drinks, environment and live music, this restaurant has it all. I look forward to eating there again! Thank you Julie and staff The Bonfire!

Great view ! Good menu selection and beers. Ordered and did have to wait a long time on our order. There were 5 of us and two tables (2), (5) did receive theirs prior to us. Our server was fairly attentive but not the best. We had the red,white, blue salads, shrimp tacos, brisket tacos (amazing) ! I’d go back but expect a longer wait.

We had a great waitress, didn’t wait too long and was nice. I got the crusted trout, it was so terrible, very soggy and smelled like bad bad fish (I love fish I get it everywhere this wasn’t normal fish smell) and very slimy. Other than that atmosphere and staff was awesome

We have eaten at Bonfire three weekends in a row. We had excellent food, service and music. We had the mushroom ravioli with Alfredo sauce every visit. I love the spinach salad with hot bacon. OVER THE TOP last night was the Steak Poutine. I’ve had it in Canada and this was so delicious. French fries, tender prime rib pieces and cheese curds covered in brown gravy with mushrooms. Yummy! We highly recommend Bonfire!

Subpar experience. Didn’t get dinner salads for over an hour even though we got there at 5:30 with reservation. Showed up right after I asked so think they forgot about us (has happened before). Food was heat baked from sitting under the heat lamp. Apps were great though. Recommend drinks and apps, and dinner only if your fine with waiting forever, eating food that’s sat, and paying premium. Such a pity since this is probably the coolest vibe restaurant in town.

I am visiting on vacation, and decided to go here. It seemed incredibly nice, and the atmosphere, music, and staff were nice. The quality of the food however was were it started to dwindle. I felt my chicken was very over cooked, and the vegetables and rice tasted incredibly bland. The baked potato soup also seems like it was pre made, and bought from the grocery store. My food was also took quite some time to receive, waiting around 40 minutes. Overall the atmosphere was really nice, however the food quality not so much.

One of the top best 3 restaurants in the UP and by far the best in Houghton. I have never had a bad meal or left hungry. If you are seated in the Hayloft you have a great view of town. Live music on weekends on a top notch stage and the owner makes it a point to make sure you are satisfied with your experience.

We rented the Hayloft for a surprise party and everything was wonderful! The room had amazing views and the decor is beautiful! The appetizers were delicious and came out right on time for our guests. Our waitress was great and the food was wonderful! Don’t pass up the steak bite pasta, it’s super yummy! Thanks to Bonfire grill for making my husbands 40th birthday so memorable.
