1st time visiting here. Food was good. I wasn’t a fan of the deep fried corn. But that’s just my preference. My husband had the brisket fries and said the brisket was really good. I had the sloppy pig. Was good I only wished it had less slaw and a little more pork instead since it was so good.

This place is amazing. When the sign says pit or smoke that’s what it means. The ribs are tender and tasty, the sausage is packed with flavor, the brisket is amazing. The beer is cold and the music is easy listening. Great place for good food.

My birthday dinner with my husband of 45 yrs. I got the 3 meat platter brisket, ribs and pulled pork. The good banana pudding was my gift. It was late, we had just drove from NC where our BBQ is great , Bonos was good as well… Service was excellent. My husband got chicken, ribs and sausage. He wasn’t impressed with the chicken or the sausage. I got extra bread for my take out. Best birthday ever, we had just found out that my husband was in full remission from lung and brain cancer.

The restaurant is clean but their policy of ONLY allowing you to order meat their way. You can only get a BREAST/WING or LEG/THIGH together. I don’t like Thighs and I was told I can not have two LEGS because at the end of the night they will have mismatch meat! *** The Employee told me this is not POPEYES a “chicken place”*very RUDE ** It’s more important how they end their night rather then pleasing the people that funds the COMPANY !

Had the 3 meat platter. Turkey, sausage, and ribs with 2 sides- collard greens and baked beans. The ribs were dry and the greens were bland. No taste at all. Everything else was decent.

Great memories as a child my parents took me to the original Bono’s BQ on Beach Blvd. The Bono’s on Sanjose Blvd has taken that great tradition to the next level. The food is always fresh and tasty! The brothers that own the restaurant are very nice and appreciate your business. The employee “Summer” always goes above and beyond! She always make sure the order is correct in detail, and cares about the customer. As a regular I order the pound of turkey/center cut and she makes my order perfect every time. I hope that she stays with this restaurant for a long time, she’s a superstar and a great human being!!

Grabbed some food to go. Hubby liked the ribs and sauce. I had chicken planks. I like that the planks were cut thin but they were on the overcooked side. The flavor is in the condiments.
