First time coming here! It’s a small restaurant and seems to be short of personnel. It was busy when I visited on Wednesday night. Sushi dishes are their popular options, but I was in the mood for ramen that day. 🙂

Got 2 bento boxes and each item included was amazing. The fish and vegetables in particular seemed really fresh and high quality. The staff were also incredibly nice, especially the lady who is one of the owners. We found ourselves unexpectedly having to stay overnight at the airport in DC and stopped by Bonsai Grill just before they closed to have dinner. After our meal, she was kind enough to call us a taxi back to the airport and chatted with us while we waited. She even stayed 15+ minutes past when she would have typically gone home to stay with us and give updates on the taxi’s ETA. She even gave us some water bottles to go! Very thankful for her being so kind to us on what was otherwise an unpleasant night due to our travel issues.

I just wanted some sushi around 9:30 but everything was closing at 10:00, except this place. I didn’t have any expectations but I was pleasantly surprised. The sushi was pretty good. I also ordered some noodles with shrimp, and that really took the cake. It came with a salad and some delicious miso soup. The taste was so fresh and delicious. 2 days later and I’m still thinking about that taste. I definitely will be going back.

Amazing service and food. I was stuck at the Westin due to a missed flight. Walked over and had an amazing meal for $34. The miso was amazing, the dinner box was of the same caliber.

It is a tiny place, but cozy! Sashimi is amazingly fresh, I love all the sashimi pieces. The steak is nice and juicy – def very flavorful and it goes really well with rice. The soya sauce and wasabi are not very good.

Not sure why this place has such good ratings because this place is BAD. The service was okay but the quality of sushi was BAD. It wasn’t even cold. Warm, mushy sushi. Gross. I was fine but my coworker wasn’t so fine this morning. Would not recomend!! Also they don’t take Amex!!

I ordered a special sushi roll ($17, 10 pieces) and a chicken yakisoba ($19). I had great expectations on the sushi, but I have to say it was just regular, nothing special at all and VERY cold. The yakisoba was more tasteful, but nothing special as well. For the price, I was expecting way more quality of the food. The ambience is ok, very small place but cozy, and staff are good.
