I am never disappointed when I eat here. The sushi is the best you can get around here. Very good and very nice staff. I love the inside of the building the decor and atmosphere is amazing. This time I did takeout and it was good service.

Every time I walk through the door of Bonzai I am instantly at ease. I know I’ll receive excellent service and am destined to enjoy an amazing meal. The owners work hard, and make sure their patrons are taken care of. Great atmosphere and one of the busiest restaurants in kirksville! Not a whole lot of gluten free options, but I managed to get a philly roll. They didn’t have any GF soy sauce so that was a little disappointing, but the sushi itself was good and the restaurant was very aesthetically pleasing on the inside!

Kirksville is blessed to have such a wonderful restaurant! I’ve never had a bad meal from here and I recommend it to anyone. Very quiet comfortable atmosphere and excellent service. The sushi is equal to any I’ve had and superior to most. My wife commented during our last dinner that she felt like she was eating art.

So… I drove out of my way to go here and I told them that.. the woman owner was yelling at me about how the menu says NO SUBSTITUTES… they wouldn’t accommodate with substituting out green onions instead of wasabi and ginger.. they wouldn’t substitute more veggies instead of chicken (I’m a vegetarian and they don’t offer a veggies entree) the sizes of the salads and soup are smaller than regular sides when you order the entree AND when they told me the total was almost $40.00 for one person, I asked about the portions and they said “you know what, we just aren’t going to take your order” I was shocked at how poor the service was here!I got yelled at and treated so disrespectful. I left without dinner and I hadn’t eaten a meal all day! I’d never suggest this place to anyone.
