Boonchoo Thai, where fast food meets Thai flavor, is a place I stumble upon when my taste buds demand a break from the norm. However, it’s a bit like a rollercoaster ride, thrilling at times, but sometimes leaves you with an unpleasant stomach drop, thanks to their customer service.

This was me and my girlfriends first time here. It was busy so that was a good sign, the place is also cute inside and the atmosphere was nice. The menu says they are famous for the green curry so I had to try it and it did not disappoint it was really good I would order it again for sure. I chose the hot curry and it had just the right amount of heat. My gf had the drunken noodles and the broccoli chicken stir fry she says it was good. If you’re not used to thai food or your sensitive to spice be careful have Pepto on hand.

The staff was amazingly helpful and friendly. The portion sizes were very large, and the Pad Thai was absolutely amazing! They also had an extensive beer selection. The fresh basil stir fry was meh, but I don’t think it warrants loosing a star.

Great authentic Thai food and a very wide selection of food. I had the Panang Curry and it was delicious. This was my partner’s first foray into Thai food and he said it won’t be his last. Their salads are also incredible!!

The food was delicious and we didn’t wait long for our order to come out to us. You must order at the counter and you must clean your table when you’re done. You must get your own utensils and drinks. We would call this a no frills restaurant. They also charge 3.5% extra for card payments, so you might want to bring cash. There are few parking spots and not too many tables for eating in. If your main interest is very good food with little waiting, then this place comes highly recommended.

I moved out of town a few months ago and missed Boon Choo so much. I ate the same meal there weekly for years. I was excited to be visiting and went to Boon Choo to eat my consistent favorite—sweet and sour chicken. I had missed it. Instead of my beloved meal, I got the only horrible food experience I’ve ever had at Boon Choo. It was disgusting. The sauce was thick like teriyaki sauce instead of the thinner normal brown sauce. It was so thick I couldn’t see the color of the pineapple. . It was incredibly salty and it’s the only time at Boon Choo that I didn’t eat my meal or take leftovers home. I felt sick the rest of the night. Something’s changed.

Called “authentic”, but far from it. The WORST Thai I’ve ever eaten, hands down.

Something has changed. This was our favorite FR restaurant, but now we can’t even tolerate the food.
