I really enjoyed this new BBQ place. I got the loaded fries and they had so much flavor. The service was great and prices were fair. We had a really good time and I will surely be back!

I came in on a Sunday evening and they were very busy. Ordered the pulled pork nachos and a salad. Nachos had a lot of topping and were very worth it. Salad was alright, but at a BBQ place it’s what I expected. The bartender was friendly. I’d recommend it as a place to catch a game and have a drink/some casual food.

Yesterday in the middle of a bike ride I stopped by Bootleggin’ Tavern for lunch & ordered their delicious Smoked Chicken Sandwich! The place has a great atmosphere & the staff were very friendly & helpful. Looking forward to trying them out again (eyeing the Burnt Ends for next time!) – Alex @ Food Pedaler

Wonderful people, fun bar interior, bland and forgettable smoked meats with incredibly small portions for the price which in the end didn’t really matter. The pulled pork looked good but had zero flavor beyond the smooth fat and decent cheese nachos. The burnt ends were half an order for $18 and a fraction of the flavor of Pappy’s or even Sugarfire with most of the flavor being char. Here is hoping this was a one off for them.

Absolutely amazing! I love a good burger and I was not disappointed in the bacon jam burger (I’m not sure if that’s what it is actually called). The street corn is a perfect blend of of sweet and spice and they have a great selection of beers. I was so excited about eating my food I didn’t even think about taking a picture, but I even commented about how beautiful it looked!

First, I was very disappointed in our service. When requesting a lager, instead of saying they didn’t stock them, I was told that a featured pale ale was an American lager. However the telltale floral scent and fruity flavor belied that after the first drink. Second, the pulled pork and burnt tips were melt-in-your moth tasty, but the layer of fat on the cut was excessive. Last, even if it were a fantastic meal, more than $50.00 for a pulled pork sandwich, rib tips & fries w/2 disappointing beers is not enough value for the expense in my humble opinion.

Must try the Bootleggin burger! It was one of the best burgers I’ve had in quite some time. If you’re a bacon person, you have to get the bacon, you won’t regret it. Now if you like fries, they have some of the best. Definitely can’t miss at this great spot.

My partner and I often find ourselves asking, “Bootleggin’?” many afternoons, knowing that this is the perfect happy hour spot in the neighborhood. Good priced food, daily happy hour, and cozy and friendly people every time we go. We enjoy the fries with pulled pork and often split a burger for a solid meal for two under $20. They also have a fun environment for watching games including our St Louis SC, Cardinals, and Blues!

Great place. Kinda tucked away from the main drag of the grove, but extremely friendly and delicious food. Sibling bar to Bootleggin’ Bob’s on Morganford.
