Had dinner with a group of friends. I had the baked scallops. They were large, incredibly sweet and tender…perfect. Dinner comes with a vegetable, roll/butter and choice of potato.

Very limited menu if you didn’t want clams. Then the menu item I wanted was “out” and I had to settle for another item that wasn’t so good. My husband’s wings were soft, not crispy. He ended up sending them back. Will not go back there.

The raw oysters were very good and obviously fresh. The scallop dinner was amazing with tender scallops that were full of flavor without tasting “fishy” and crispy, tasty fries. The salmon was flaky, juicy and paired well with the salt potatoes. Our waitress always showed up right on time and was friendly.

If I’m being honest this looked like a place I’d usually drive right past. I’m not a snob, but let’s just say I’ve had enough experiences over the years and leave it at that… But as luck would have it we we’re taking my cousin to the Buffalo airport and she has a tradition of stopping here if they’re open so we cautiously stopped. When we walked in there were only a couple of non bar customers and I thought my fears would play out but I gambled and ordered the beef on weck. I can honestly say it was the best I’ve ever eaten! The roll was soft but held up. The inside was packed full of flavorful tender beef. I would change anything about it. My husband ordered the pork chop dinner with salt potatoes. When I tell you these 2 pork chops were huge I mean they were HUGE. We BOTH ate his leftovers for dinner the next night they were so big. And yes I know, size isn’t everything so let me tell you they were also juicy and cooked to perfection! He also loved the salt potatoes. Now to our waitress…she was attentive without hovering. We never lacked for anything; you can’t ask for more than that! By the way, tables were nearly full when we left. The men’s bathroom was a teenage boys dream bedroom (no I didn’t go in there, those were my husbands words). The women’s was clean. My only off-putting comment would be the dust and cobwebs hanging from the vent near our table, but I also know how quickly those appear even in our own homes. Overall I would definitely recommend you not judge this book by it’s cover and check this place out!

We had a great time. It’s a casual place that has great food and extraordinary service. Our server was very nice, kept our soda topped off and brought the food out hot. Delicious! Try the lobster danties. Prime rib is excellent. Remember when you go, take cash, they don’t take cards but they do have an ATM.

I really wanted to like this place. I won’t return after my first visit. The appetizers were fair. The seafood special was clearly not fresh. The seafood pasta was bland. The burger was bland. The French fries were the worst we have ever been served in a sit-down restaurant. The steak was good. That was the only thing our family thought was good. There are no desserts. This meal was not worth the money we spent.

Split Dainties were overcooked, mixed veggies were mushy and salt potatoes tasted like boiled white potatoes (no flavor). Prime rib was great (lil fatty) and the sirloin was too. Scallops were delish and the lobster tail was cooked correctly. Been here a bunch and was never disappointed until tonight. Not what I expected paying well over $100 for 2 people.
