It is a perfect family lodge on the Nevada side of Heavenly. Your non skiing family can drive up and have lunch or a drink with you. If you have beginners, it is a perfect place to watch them learn at the bottom of the easy run.

No green trails or black trails, they’re all just blue. I brought a couple beginners and had no where to safely teach them. Plus 60 bux for rentals (with discount). I think cali side is probably better, though lines were definitely short and once my beginner friends officially gave up, my couple runs with my bros were good. Seemed well maintained.

I highly suggest any beginner skiiers or snowboarders come to this area of the resort. It is a perfect slope and no lines. Great for families or people trying to get away from the crowds to learn in a safe environment

The lifts are the slowest on the mountain and they close the bathroom very early. If you have to park here because the other parking lots are full it’s probably faster to take the shuttle than the slow chairlifts.

Ran into a few staff members who were poorly trained or inept. The ski rental girl seemed to bring us boots that are too small 3 times. I asked her what the lever was on the back and she said she didn’t know but she could find out that she never told me. She said she was going to go get her poles and started working on people that came after us.
