Don’t waste your time or money on lousy food or service. Ordered the pork nachos, the only thing that was good was the jalapenos. It was served cold. We ordered 2 brisket sandwiches that were overcooked and very fatty and came out cold. The tater tots were good and they did make it right by not charging us for the sandwiches.

The place closed at 10pm the night we got there, we were seated by 8:30. The waitstaff was disinterested, almost to the point of being rude. The food and drinks were fine, nothing exceptional about any of it except the prices. The total bill seemed high for 2 people and 2 drinks each in the middle of Kansas.

Not what it used to be. The menu has been changed, and is very small. We sat for a long time waiting for drink order to be taken. Only about ten other people in the place, so it wasn’t busy, considering there were two servers and one bar tender. After about 15 minutes, the drinks were ordered. Another 15 minutes before food order was taken. About 25 minutes for food to arrive. It was very underwhelming. Brisket wrap was horrible. 25 minutes from KC, in a place owned by a KC brewery, and this is what they think passes for brisket? Trust me, your high school cafeteria was serving better food. The Tuna and pink rice was nothing to brag about either. Sure didn’t seem like tuna, and the rice, well, it was pink, but dyed to some unnatural shade of magenta. In the end, two terrible meals, two decent beers, and $50 to leave, and another $10 at the Taco Bell drive thru. This used to be a fantastic place for food and service. Sad. Just really sad what this place has become.

The pan seared chicken breast in rosemary butter was very bad. This piece of chicken was shamefully dry. It was also the skinniest and thinnest chicken breast I’ve ever seen. Almost as if it was pounded flat and cut in half length wise. To possibly try and make up for what they knew was a terrible piece of chicken it was overloaded with rosemary and the sides quantity doubled. The garlic mashed potatoes side was barely ok, but the wild rice side was decent. Both no worse or better than any mass restaurant chains reheated versions. So many options in Lawrence, do not settle for this place because it’s in the hotel.

Staff was unfriendly, well at least the waiter we had. Other waiters seemed to be more attentive to their tables then ours was. Maybe he had a bad day??? Food was not that great either. Fiance got nachos, and the cheese was horrendous! I had the quesadillas, and they were nothing to write home about.

Had early lunch, food was served hot and fresh (2 chicken strip baskets). Only dipping sauce was ranch (they were out of others), which was disappointing. Staff was all very young but polite, a little slow though for an 11am lunch.

Decent grub and who can not dig on a variety of Boulevard Brewing taps. We showed up, a large group, unannounced, on a Saturday evening. They took the time and effort to serve us and did a great job. Not flawless, but friendly, relaxed and comfortable. Rock On BG!
