We stumbled on this place while riding the Charles Street trolley. (Trolley tip – get the Le Pass app and buy a Jazzy pass. One-day is $3 or 3-day for $8. Unlimited rides. Individual rides cost $1.25 each.) Had the roast beef po’ boy. Bread was fresh and grilled nicely. Roast beef was tender but could have used a little more sauce. Casual outdoor seating at picnic tables.

It could have just been we had a bad visit… but we literally threw away 90% of the food. It was around lunchtime (about an hour or 2 after they opened that day) on a Monday. They were out of all but 1 flavor of daiquiri. We were the only ones there, but it took around 30-40 minutes to come out with the food. The Boudin balls were the only thing we ordered that were acceptable. The Spicy Fried Chicken Sandwich was so comically bad that I didn’t even get mad. It looked like a chicken fried steak slathered in sauce and sat between a Hawaiian dinner roll to be called a sandwich. As messy as it was, I gave it a shot, but it was too tough to pull apart, and I realized this wasn’t something cooked with spices it was just hot sauce poured on top. I thought that the fries would at least be good, right? I don’t know if the tops came off the seasoning or what, I’m upset I didn’t take a picture of them. Since this was a few weeks before Mardi Gras… I put it like this: picking up and running your finger along the fries sounded like you took a bite out of some (McKenzie) King Cake and had the sugar falling off as you bite. We trashed the food and went over to Monday NOLA. If you only had a pair of customers eating at your establishment, that’s not hard to monitor and check in on the experience, but that didn’t happen. Order came out wrong, plenty of menu items not available, empty and broken napkin holders, and a disengaged staff. Hopefully, this is seen by the ownership and necessary changes made.

Stumbled upon this place while walking down Carrollton. The ambiance pulled me in with the sweet, fresh flowers and herbs everywhere and lights outside. Service was great, wings were crispy and delicious, the frozen drink was fresh and not jam packed with sugar and prices weren’t high (they’re actually fair). Can’t wait to go back and try more.

A nice low-key location, a casual atmosphere. Good po-boy sandwiches, delicious french fries, and several beers on tap. Conveniently right next to the streetcar stop.

It was my first time in and do yourself a favor and go immediately! It’s the nicest spot with really amazing food. The lemongrass pork sandwich was my favorite; so delicious! The service was excellent and we will be back again.

Easy to drive by this place if a local hadn’t turned me onto it. It’s on the side of the road and isn’t much to look at but has some killer grub.

If I could give this food a zero I would. We were so disappointed. This place was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. I thought the food would be great. I guess things have changed. The 12 napkin roast beef poboy was awful, totally dry, so much so that I threw it away. I would have taken it back, but picked it up before getting on the highway to go home. I also purchased the spicy pork boudin and the meat pie. They were not great, but ok. I spent $28 on garbage. Will never visit again. My niece bought the brisket and pimento poboy. She had the same problem; very dry. Was there about 4 pm.

The best roast neef Po-boy’s I have had in a long time!! The girls there were super nice and fun to chat with. The atmosphere was wonderful. The brussels were so tasty with a yummy sauce. The fries were on point. The spicy chicken sandwich was absolutely a delightful surprise. In fact, we have to be in that area today and are going there for lunch. Been looking forward to it all week!!

We drove by and heard the band playing so we decided to stop in and get a bite to eat. They were packed but food was coming out fast. We ordered the pulled pork nachos and a hot sausage po-boy. Both were good but they didn’t really knock our socks off. The crawfish looked good but we didn’t get any. The band is what really made the meal special. They were the true stars of the meal.
