The lady who took our order was rude and had a couldnt-be-bothered attitude. Also condescendingly told us their over-priced lobster roll is typical market value which was a bold faced lie as we’ve had lobster rolls all over this town the past week and none were anywhere near as expensive as this place. So many better options in Ptown than this place.

This place is absolutely phenomenal! The sandwiches are great, and the chowder is one of my favorites in the entire cape! Don’t even get me started on that brownie! It shocked me too since it’s just a sandwich shop, but even the lemonade was heavenly! Free refills too! The owner was so sweet and helpful as soon as we entered. I can’t recommend this place enough!!!

We accidentally found this place. The food here is amazing. We got clam chowder, lobster bisque and lobster roll on a brioche bread. Oh, and basil infused lemonade, you can’t go wrong!

Lobster rolls were fantastic!! Clam chowder was delicious! The basil lemonade is a must! Best thing about Box Lunch were the ladies running the show. They were very friendly and engaging in conversation by asking questions about our daughter starting at Northeastern and congratulating my wife for becoming empty nesters. People like these ladies and their employees make a place like Box Lunch feel as though you are eating with best friends and a place I thoroughly enjoyed. Box Lunch is high on my list of my all time favorite restaurants.

box lunch is great spot for breakfast or lunch in p town but i’ve had some ups and downs there. they make really good lobster bisque and clam chowder. in my opinion it’s the best lobster bisque in town. other great options are the gilded lobster which is normally done in a wrap but if you ask for it in a roll they will do that too (that’s how i had it), and the lobster roll. while this stuff is great i have had some things i didn’t enjoy such as the chicken caesar wrap, the wrap itself had a bad flavor and the dressing was not caesar dressing. i also did not enjoy the sausage, egg and, cheese which seems basic but i asked for it on a bagel and they used scrambled eggs and sausage pieces so everything fell out. the service is also very slow, i know then get busy but you can wait upwards of a half hour for a sandwich. for the most part they are nice but one time i had a miscommunication where i asked for a bagel and they gave me a wrap and when i asked if it could be redone they said “it’s always done on a wrap”. while i understand that is what they’re known for i think that was an inappropriate response for a customer and it made me not want to go back. i am still recommending them because things like the bisque and the gilded lobster are so good but be very clear if you want to make a modification to any order.

There is no atmosphere, but it’s not about the atmosphere. The food is good but the service was atrocious. The woman told me to let her know if I had questions. I asked about vegan options and she snapped ” there’s a meatless menu”. I mentioned that they all listed cheese elements and she again snapped ” well we can make them without the cheese.” I should have turned and walked away. I will not return.

Stopped by today for the first time, to get a sandwich to go. There was one other customer in there at that time who was standing at the checkout just talking with the cashier. I took a few minutes to look at the selection of lunches available and decided on one that I wished to order. I walked up to the cashier to place my order at which time the staff person glanced at me and immediately went back to chatting with the same person that she was talking to before I even entered the store. I stood there patiently waiting to place my order for about 3 minutes but she continued talking as if I wasn’t even there. It wasn’t until I decided to walk out and go elsewhere that she asked if she could help me. There were several other establishments to buy lunch on Commercial St. so finding a place to get a quick bite was easy.

Such a cute little place and the staff could not be friendlier. The lobster they bring in fresh each day – and it was absolutely delicious. We had the grilled lobster and the lobster roll on brioche. The grilled lobster was different, it was served hot in a wrap and had melted cheese and avocado. It was their signature dish and it was pretty tasty. My sister enjoyed this the most. I’m more of a lobster roll gal. And let me tell you, I typically do not like cold lobster rolls but this was unbelievable. It was freakin delicious!! Personally would drop the tomatoes and lettuce next time, but not even a deal breaker. And they do not skimp on the lobster. They were so nice, they brought out our sandwiches as soon as they were made and wanted to know what we thought after. I will absolutely be back!

This is fun little place tucked in by the coast on Commercial Street.. the food is awesome. They have a ton of vegetarian and vegan options!! The food is rightly priced as well…awesome service by the folks who work here.. next time I am here, this is my go to!! The avocado rollwich is just out of the world!!
