This was my 1st time at Boxcar but definitely not my last! It smells awesome as you drive by but it tastes even better

First time at this restaurant… I tried to barbacoa tacos. They were very fresh, very good, very hot off the stove. I also had a side of collard greens… Those are very good. (Maybe a little over priced at $4). All in all it was a very good experience.

I was fiending for barbqueue and got what I came for. Got the Brisket Melt I think it was called, and the brisket taco and both were crazy meaty and flavorful. A bit heavy and oily but one does not go to a bbq looking for greens. Definitely coming again.

Second time eating at this place since they opened and both times were 10/10. The first time was take out and I got the smash burger and it was so good I came back for seconds , but instead we did dine in . The customer service was quick and very attentive the entire time!

Great food. Great experience. Will be back for sure. Came for the taco special. So glad we did. So many menu items I want to try.

Nice folks. Good service. Different type of BBQ sauce than I usually see. Which was a nice change of pace.

Great food! Conductor sandwich is basically a sampler platter. Ribs and beans are great. If you like sweeter cornbread, you will love theirs! Order of fries is enough for at least two people. Will go again!

The brisket and sauces were great, definitely recommend the house sauce and the vinegar sauce. The sides were great, get the collards, the beans are great and the street corn as well. Service was a little frantic but with only one server, they did pretty good. The banana pudding was just okay, very thick crust of graham cracker which I didn’t particularly enjoy. I do think this restaurant will be successful, as it is different Texas style BBQ than what is available on this side of town.

The food wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great. Unfortunately the prices don’t match the quality in my opinion. There are no combinations with sides. Prepare to pay $50 to $60 for two people. If I’m going to pay that, it better be Texas quality, huge portions, and a great atmosphere. None of those existed.
