I was really excited to try Boxcar’s fried chicken because it looks delicious and they have collard greens w/ HAM HOCKS!!! over all I was a little disappointed. The chicken itself is not seasoned, so the only seasoning is in the breading. If you like fried chicken with flavor make sure you order it hot (spicy). If you order salt & pepper be willing to add more to your chicken because it will be flavorless.

This place was INCREDIBLE! We went here to grab lunch between wineries and knew we were in for something good when we saw a line out the door. You can’t go wrong here, every dish was great. Even the housemade ranch we ordered was delicious! Can’t praise this place enough. A must if you’re in wine country. Definitely worth going out of your way for.

Super nice location with really picturesque outdoor seating, but unfortunately the food doesn’t measure up to vibe. The two sandwiches I ordered can best be described as totally adequate but bland.

Superb spot for Fried Chicken. A nice small spot to take a break from the day and your busy life. The fried chicken tasted great, the biscuit was flakey and warm, and the fried oyster sandwich was delicious and light.

Love this quaint diner with big taste. Try the traditional with spicy mayo. Juicy fried chicken sandwich. Has an old country feel with a spacious backyard picnic table area.

Next level. My wife is from Louisiana and we eat Cajun food all the time, and this place is legit. Boudin is a must try here . 10/10

Really wonderful casual ambiance and high-quality, tasty grub. I visited early-on in their reinvention, and I’m happy to learn of their now-extended hours. Don’t miss this one!

Darn good fried chicken. Collard greens were on point. Slaw could use a little more umph.

Wonderful place to grab lunch. Great vibes and great food. We had a spicy chicken sandwich with medium heat which was the perfect spice level. The milkshake was a great balance as well. Had a biscuit on the side, was good, but a little dense for my preference. I think the density was due to the heat though so can’t fault them much. A must go for lunch while in wine country.
