I recently visited Brack’s Backyard and was blown away by the amazing food! Both the Detroit style pizza and thin crust were simply delicious – the crust was crispy and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. The patio seating was also a great touch, allowing me to enjoy my meal in a relaxed outdoor environment. To top it all off, the staff were incredibly friendly and made the experience even better. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a delicious meal in a welcoming atmosphere!

Best pizza in the area and possibly Austin! Amazing crust, fresh ingredients, friendly owners. They are working on their bar setup. It’s on the way to Muleshoe and Crause Springs so grab a Detroit or NY style and hang on their beautiful patio, head to the next stop, or pick up for your family!

I kept seeing neighbors posting pictures of this pizza and how everyone was raving so I just had to make a trip and try it for myself. Fortunately, we live in Spicewood so it was a short drive. You can call in your order, or place it online which is what I did. After ordering, they will give you a time estimate but today they were exceptionally busy. Fortunately, someone called and let me know it was going to take longer.

This place is brand new! Beautiful patio with an upcoming beer garden! Drove down a newly paved road with ranches on each side wondering if we would really find a pizza place. Then there was a clearing with signs and a welcoming entrance – and a shiney food truck! Instantly the family went to work explaining their menu, what was available by the slice and that it would take 30 minutes for a whole pizza. So, we decided on an assortment of slices. My husband prefers thin crust and i tried the Detroit slice. It was soooooo yummy! The bread was soft and the sauce was delish! All four of us loved our choices!

What a find close to our house. They serve Detroit (square) and regular round pizzas and they are really good. Actually we all thought they were better than East Side pies and similar in Austin. Definitely worth a stop if you are in the area. Kids got the cheese.. they are pretty picky and they like this better than any place they go to in Austin south of Lady Bird Lake. Son got a Detroiter, and we got an “on the fly” creation that was amazing. By the slice at lunch. The adult males got 3 slices each and it was plenty.

My husband and oldest daughter “discovered “ this place shortly after we moved into Spicewood. We had already been wowwed by Opies BBQ and now we had discovered our favorite type of pizza – delicious New York style crust. It’s been spot on every time we have visited ( about 8 now would be my guess 🙂 You really can’t go wrong. Perfect pepperoni, delicious cheese, and now we tried the Detroit style – it’s ridiculously good. Very friendly owners, definitely our go to pizza stop. I’m looking forward to nicer weather to enjoy their nice patio set up.

We placed an order online for 3 pizzas 30 minutes before they closed. I called to make sure it was okay because the ready time was 30 minutes after they close. They assured me they were going to make ours and would call me when I should head that way. A thunderstorm came through and there was a ton of rain. We received a call and text letting us know our food was ready. We got there and they walked our pizza to our car with an umbrella. Talk about customer service! It’s so nice to encounter this caliber of people these days. They even text me after to make sure we made it back home safe because all of the rainfall.

The Detroiter is amazing – the best version I’ve had since moving down here 7 years ago (I used to live an hour from Detroit). Great flavor and sauce. I do suggest getting extra cheese with it. We also liked the Chicken Bacon Ranch both for taste and how good it looked when we opened the box. Can’t wait for the true Chicago style that they have planned (not deep dish like other local pizza places advertise). We will definitely be weekend regulars at Brack’s.

Place is open from 4-7. We showed up with drinks ready to relax and enjoy a pizza only to be told they had too many takeout orders and would not be able to accommodate us. Very disappointing. Dine in customers should always be served. This would explain why there wasn’t anyone there.
