Super slow. I waited 45 minutes for my food. The prices were reasonable, the people were nice, and the food was great, especially for being in a gas station. I’d definitely go back, but would call my order in ahead of time.

They always talk about gas station good in the south and this hidden spot on the outskirts of long beach is THE BEST! I can’t lie most of the time I’m eating seafood from here. The best crawfish when in season, mouth watering royal reds, and run down to your elbows roast beef poboy, just to name a few show stoppers. I can’t forget to mention their cold shrimp salad or their potatoes salad, also their hamburger is sooooo good. I could literally go on for days bout the food. Next time you need gas or maybe a cold drink, check out the menu. You won’t be disappointed

Love the shrimp pasta salad here. The royal reds are great, along with the boiled shrimp and crawfish. Great local, family owned business to support! They also take call ahead orders on most items. If seafood isn’t your thing, they have a variety of other items. My favorite non-seafood item is the corn nuggets!

To be a gas station restaurant, it was great. Everyone was nice and our food was great. First time customer not my last visit.

The royal reds here are the best shrimp on earth! I don’t even understand how they can be this good!! I’d give more stars if I could. This place is amazing. These shrimp will blow your mind. ❤️

The Roast Beef Po-boy was amazingly delicious, even after traveling 20 minutes before getting to eat it. The shrimp Po-boy was good too and had a decent amount of shrimp. The boiled shrimp had great flavor and we very easy to peel. We will be going back to get the Roast Beef Po-boy for sure and to try a few other things on their menu.

The first time I ate hear….I wasn’t impressed. (Keep reading) all I got was crawfish and they were a tad bland that day. Or maybe it was because I got Covid soon after. Who knows. Anyway, crawfish seasons over. I have no intentions of coming here again for food but I stop in for a Powerade and the smell…..I had to grab some of the boiled shrimp they smelled so good. I was pretty pleased. A few days later I’m chatting with somebody who works nearby and they tell me I made a mistake. I should have ordered the steamed royal red platter. I’m like okay…..I’ll test that recommendation. I’ve been back 3 times in a week. I’ve never had better shrimp from a restaurant. Oh yea also the ladies working here work so hard and they are soooo nice!!!!! I also ordered hush puppies separately. Those were great too but the red royals. That’s where it’s at.

Food from a gas station! Delightful! I bought a few items just to try out but the main reason for going was the shrimp poboy. Let’s start with atmosphere. It’s inside a gas station! That was fun. It was clean and the food was brought to us. The cashiers were very pleasant. I bought boudin balls, gumbo and catfish to try. I normally hate catfish, but this was GOOD catfish. It was crispy and fried in cornmeal! Not that flour/cornmeal soggy fish fry mix! I didnt really care for the gumbo. It was like rice swimming in reddish brown gravy. No okra. No file. No crab boil spices. The boudin ball was not to my liking either but my sister loved it. We had our shrimp poboys and they were pretty good. I had corn fritters as a side and my sister had onion rings. Both were good. The portion sizes were pretty good but I kind of feel like the catfish was a bit overpriced but it was good. They also had other fried seafood and chicken goodiesas well as boiled seafood. I picked up a menu so I can order ahead to pick up. Everyone should have an Eat-out-of-the-gas-station experience.

The poboy was okay. It wasn’t bad but was it great. The bread was a little tougher than most French bread but still nice and flaky. The shrimp however, tasted like they were frozen shrimp. Just had that frozen mushy consistency to them. Flavor was on point though and lettuce and tomatoes were fresh. I would’ve liked to see an option on the menu for half a poboy and fries as a whole one with fries is just too much for lunch.
