It’s everything you ever wanted from a speakeasy. You could walk by and not even know it’s there. You walk down some dark stairs of a brick tunnel to the basement that looks like it’s been around a couple hundred years. Bottles line the walls. Friendly bartenders with a straightforward menu. You want to tell all your friends about this great place you found, but decide to keep this one to yourself.

Constantly reinventing itself, Bramhall offers ambiance, creative drinks and solid eats. Perfect for a date spot, an outing with friends or colleagues or just a night out for a drink. Summer time offers outdoor seating in the back and they’re always figuring out the next thing! Check them out. By the way, the Buffalo wings are a hidden gem! Best in the state, in a spot you’d never expect!

Atmosphere and service here were great. Food was reasonably priced for the area, as were the cocktails.

I think they’re under new ownership recently? Last month this was an easy go to with good drinks and great staff. Tonight they seemed understaffed for the crowd on a Tuesday night, and my drink was just not good. It was not balanced to the point that it tasted like nothing but the bitter aftertaste of Campari. Seems like staff haven’t been trained properly yet (no fault of their own, they were very nice), but we were sitting outside in the dark when there is lighting outside. Really disappointed to see this change to a neighborhood staple.

I’ve been a patron of Bramhall the past few years and have always thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, staff, food and drinks. I had an exceptionally poor meal there recently. For $14 a burger should be great-it wasn’t. Ordered a side of fries and we seemed to get the end of the bag which was all little bits of broken pieces in a bowl. My partner ordered a Negroni and it wasn’t drinkable. Staff was great and friendly but unfortunately, we all left hungry and $65 less in our pockets- we will not be returning here.

Every time we visited this place over the summer it was a little worse. Used to be a great place to gather for drinks and convos, now it’s just another place with basic $15 cocktails and boring, overpriced food. This went from my favorite bar in Portland to a real bummer of a place in just a couple months. Hope the new management reverts back to what was working soon.

I’m from Florida, but if we lived in Portland we’d hang out here regularly. The staff is great, the drinks are mixed well and the beer prices are more than fair. You won’t find a cooler atmosphere for a bar anywhere. If you haven’t gone, go now and enjoy!

We came on a Wednesday night, maybe 15 people in the place. Sat for 20 minutes outside, waiter gave us a food menu and said nothing.. when we tried to order food he said the kitchen was closed. He walked by maybe 10 times after taking our order of 2 drinks.. Had to flag him down to ask where the drinks were.. he said the bartender was new, and the drinks would come eventually. We didn’t bother waiting 🙂

We discovered the Bramhall Pub last week as we explored Portland. I adored the stained glass! We were delighted with the service, the hospitality of Seth, the General Manager, and the vegetarian-friendly offerings. We look forward to returning to the pub, and to extending our explorations upstairs to the Roma.

Place is really cool inside. Did a very good job with lighting and just overall vibe. We went when it first opened, thus had to whole place to ourselves. The host/ server was really friendly and willing to offer recommendations and tell us about the place. Will definitely be back when it’s in full season. Churros were delicious and the Loretta drink is really refreshing.
