Went for their new dinner service and it was absolutely amazing! Considering it was one of their first nights, everything ran so smoothly. Each dish was better than the last. Probably one of the best meals I’ve had in Portland. We had the oysters, eggplant, bread service, Hamachi, and steak. Although the steak seems expensive, it is a ton of meat and easily shared with 4 people. Highly recommend and will absolutely be back!

Fantastic little cafe with beautifully presented, interestingly flavored, and absolutely delicious food, as well as great coffee. There were so many wonderful choices on the menu that we had a difficult time deciding, so we had way too much food and ate all of it! The servers were attentive and enthusiastic, and everything seemed well-thought out and perfectly prepared. Highly recommend!!

Stopped by for breakfast on a busy Sunday. Brief wait for a table but staff very friendly. Small menu but with great variety. Good drinks and incredible food. Highly recommend the crispy red bliss potatoes and the French toast.

We were so glad we get a chance to taste Bread & Friends that is 1+ week old!!! Our bartender from The Danforth recommended this place and it’s a block away from our hotel.

The everything pull apart bread was absolutely amazing. It will forever change what I think of breakfast! Each bite was filled with seasoning and flavor and a little bit of cream cheese which was perfect. I will recommend this to everyone!

Portland is justifiably famous for its food scene, primarily dinner restaurants like Fore Street and Twelve. More recently, however, a number of new establishments are offering outstanding selections for breakfast, brunch, and lunch. This is one of them, as is Ugly Duckling (see my review).

Fantastic little breakfast/brunch spot. Tried the crispy potatoes, French toast, deviled eggs and ricotta & jamon dish. The French toast is a contender for ‘best of all time.’ Also, you have the option of ordering takeaway baked goods inside.
