I was expecting to be somewhat disappointed as we often are by pricey high demand resort locations, usually you pay a lot and quality is lacking. However, Breakers far exceeded my expectations. The maple bacon scallops were by far the best, so delicious I could have licked the sauce off the plate, and for $18 for 4 they were large in size. They have a little spice, so if you don’t like a red pepper flake kick don’t get it. They also look nowhere near as good as they taste. The house salad was fresh, crisp, and had whole black olives which was a nice touch that most places leave out, and I love olives! The clam chowder was also great. The fish tacos I’ll just say the fried fish was cooked perfectly and delicious, but they did too much with the ingredients. Chipotle remoulade , pickled onions, black bean corn salsa, I love them all individually. I would have left out the black bean corn salsa or vice versa. The sirloin steak was tender and a good cut of meat, but lacked a little in flavor. Service was polite, but not personable. I thought the menu prices would be out of this world, but it compares to a regular pub. I would eat there again.

This is part of the Ashworth hotel. I honestly was not impressed. So we stayed over night and it was not a pleasant experience. So we had a great day on the beach. First we came to the bar for a few drinks. It wasn’t to busy and it wasn’t busy. Our bartender was named Jonny. My god was he the worst bartender I have ever had. I asked about the happy hour special, specifically the five dollar well drink. I drink jack and coke. I asked if these were part of it. He stated. Sure, I hate my job and I don’t care. I didn’t mine so I had a few more. The service was absent. He was more concerned with a certain couple than everyone else at the bar. Once the tab came another bartender checked us out. I said Jonny said they were five bucks. He yelled no I didn’t and smiled at me. Honestly I was irritated. Do not tote you hate your job and lie. It’s uncalled for. I don’t typically leave bad reviews but this one takes the cake. We went back for dinner service and the food was.over the top. Absolutely delicious. There seafood is on point. It’s to bad one person ruined this place for me. Definitely not coming back. Maybe you will have a better experience…

We ate burgers, nacho and tenders. Tenders are good but We found Hair in nacho. And we wanted medium rare but we ate well. the waiter held the part of the glass that was in contact with my lip and renewed my drink. How can I drink from this glass? Actually I don’t want to talk too much about this restaurant. Definitely a restaurant I will never come back to.

We have been going to Breakers since my 10 year old was an infant… one of the best parts of this is that Christine has been our waitress all 10 years and literally has watched our son grow up. Tonight’s experience was so awful… nothing to do with Christine… rather the awful hostess named Joanne. Joanne is one of the most demeaning individuals I’ve ever had to watch in my lifetime. In the course of our dining, we watched her ridicule and yell… YELL… at almost every single employee in that building. It was heartbreaking. She killed the vibe 100% and I was anxious for the staff the entire time. These poor people looked defeated and couldn’t do anything to appease Joanne. Everything they did was not correct and received a loud scene. I’ve honestly never seen anything like it. It was so heartbreaking and anytime anyone asked for anything, I got nervous that she was going to blow. We dined in the night before as well and she wasn’t there and it was perfect. Dan was great as well. Please someone do something about this terror of a “leader”. Going to lose some good staff over her.

We’re staying at the hotel and went to Breakers for dinner to go. I had a house salad with grilled shrimp. They gave me 3 shrimp, the salad wasn’t cold or fresh. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms which were terrible! They didn’t even cook the mushrooms plus they were stuffed with Italian sausage in the stuffing which ruined them. My husband ordered shrimp scampi which came with 5 shrimp and he said all he could rates was the sherry in the sauce. The drinks were ok but overpriced. We spent $129 including tip on a bunch of terrible food and overpriced drinks!
