It was all great. I will say this is the best food I have had. The flavor and portions were more than perfect. Atmosphere was also a plus. I went on a Saturday afternoon and it was not full in the restaurant. The employees were personable and energetic. I will be a frequent flyer now.

Omg….. this place is amazing. Visiting my daughter for Mother’s Day weekend from Dallas, Texas. The food was amazing and our server Danayah T provided us with world-class services. I appreciate the manager for allowing us to be seated so quickly without a reservation. The vibe in this place was amazing. Everything was soooo delicious. That chicken gravy need to be sold in stores ASAP. We had the dry rub wings and jerk shrimp for an appetizer. I had the soul food plate with a waffle on the side. My 14 year old daughter had the spaghetti plate with chicken wings, my husband had the fried lobster with waffles with a side of breakfast potatoes, my other daughter had the salmon croquettes, and my son in-law has the chicken in waffles. We could not for get the pineapple mimosas along with 2 makers mark and coke. The food had us in a food coma but we had to try the brown butter cake. It was so good, I had to go back to the manager to thank him for an awesome experience. If you have not been to The breakfast Bar you are missing out on some soulful cooking and great atmosphere.

I love supporting African American businesses. I visited Minneapolis a couple weeks ago. Breakfast Bar was recommended while in search for soulfood brunch. The catfish was cut in strips. Two strips doesn’t equal 1 catfish fillet. The macaroni & cheese was watered down with no flavor. It looks cheesy in the photo but it really wasn’t. Sweet potatoes & greens were good. The chicken wasn’t freshly cooked. They had chicken sitting under the light when my party entered the restaurant. Those that ordered the chicken stated it was dry, hard, & old. Mimosas were good, you can’t mess that up! I wanted to try the night festivities they have live music on the restaurant side after 7p along with a connected hooka lounge with DJ. I spent a lil over $40, the meal was around $25. Definitely wasn’t worth that amount.

OH MY GOD- this place is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! My friend and I visited this past Saturday for breakfast and were blown away by their food and service! Our server, Queen, was really sweet. We ordered the Classic Mac, Buffalo Chucken Mac (MY FAVE), Chicken & Waffles and Chicken & French Toast. Everything was full of flavor and has the best southern cooking around. We already booked our next reservation. Can’t wait for it! Thank you!!!

I’ve been here a few times but yesterday, everything was five stars!! The service was amazing, our waitress bought my mom a Birthday drink and took such good care of us. The food is always on point! The music was good and not too loud, the place wasn’t too crowded. Although the space is small it was still a pleasant time.

LOVE HEALS
So…I had this restaurant on my list of places to go to in Minneapolis since last year. I made it! I went on Saturday and the “fast” menu starts at 21:00 hours. I arrived before then but due to the rush they had prior to my arrival they chose to change the menu before the designated time. It was a bit disappointing but the beautiful spirited waitress Giftee was so inviting and informative I chose to stay. I had appetizer wings and fries. Nothing fancy “but baybay lemme tell ya now!” The food was delicious. Impressed will definitely have to return when the full menu is available but the food was great. The service was great and funny and the atmosphere was beautifully decked in black. Sparkles black and more black. ❤️ ❤️
