Had a wonderful time yesterday visiting an old friend over breakfast. She had sunny side up eggs, and I take mine over easy. All done to perfection. Fabulous home fries, bacon and sausage. I drove an hour in each direction and it was worth it! Don’t let the humble decor fool you!

Just so we’re clear, this isn’t biscuits and gravy. Somehow, this traditionally southern breakfast got a South American twist and the results, horrid. My wife ordered waffles with strawberries. Ok waffle but the strawberries were still half frozen. The waitress was pleasant and apologized that we weren’t happy with our breakfast yet offered no discount.

As far as the decor and atmosphere, this Bellingham breakfast place doesn’t go out of it’s way to set itself apart. Being an established favorite with locals, this greasy spoon always has a steady flow even in the face of COVID. The entire staff is laid back, unpretentious, and friendly and they seem to understand the delicate balance between being attentive and being obnoxious. The food is well prepared and they haven’t missed a single of the special requests I always have. An excellent local gem!

The food is good the prices and the sever Karen make zero sense. I ordered 2 regular pancakes for my kids. When asked why I was charged for 2 separate pancakes that is double the price she said I wanted them on separate plates I never asked for that. She tells me she will take the charge off but have to charge me for a plate fee. What the heck is a plate fee. So a fee to use a washable plate. I came here all the time with my husband but I will not be back.
