First time visiting, the food was delicious. Its located in the hood, but thats where the best food is The ribs were seasoned good, tender. I got the rib sandwich, about 5 nice sized bones and french fries. I had been craving ribs and this did not disappoint. I will definitely go back.

Visited 05AUG2023 – First time visiting. Not difficult to get to using GPS. Plenty of parking available. Ordering is outside the front of the building through a window. There is only take-out/to-go service while you wait outside, so there’s not much for atmosphere. Food came fast. Ordered the rib plate with potato salad and baked beans. Ribs were tender but drenched in sauce. I should’ve ordered sauce on the side. I will add that a lot of rib meat came with the order. Baked beans seemed like they were out of a can. Potato salad was really good. I also ordered a pig ear sandwich which was tasty. I haven’t had pig’s ear in several decades. The pig ear was between 2 slices of white bread with ketchup and mustard.

we LOVE the Pork Ribs Plate, made the way ribs are supposed to be made, IMO: already sauced up. Wash your face and change your shirt when you’re done sauced up. Potato Salad and Cole Slaw were also excellent tasting

For starters, I completely understand the walk up shack style eatery, but I did dock one star solely on the lack of not having anywhere inside or outside to sit and eat. It’s perfect for picking up an order to take home. The other star from making this a perfect 5, and I never thought I’d ever say this, but it’s entirely too heavy on the sauce. The original smoke and seasoning flavors are lost in the extremely wet pulled pork and ribs. However, the taste is still great. I would definitely return. This place has been serving the community for over 50yrs and for damn good reason.

Beware- Cash Only & it’s a walk up! I enjoy the ribs, baked beans , and Potato Salad(sometimes). I’m NOT a fan of the pull pork , it’s too wet and they always over power the sandwich with sauce. I would enjoy the potato salad more if it was not too wet tasting. This restaurant has been in business for over 50 years, For A Reason! It needs to be featured on Food Network or Good Eats! Best BBQ Pit ribs in the Neighborhood- in Montgomery! Travelers .. Don’t miss a treat! Same menu! They do deserve 5 stars!

I REALLY Enjoyed the Food!!! The Customer Service is Top Notch!(Very Kind and Polite Cashier!) My First Visit May 13, 2023. Will NOT be my last for Sure. I ordered the Rib Sandwich and the Pig Ear Sandwich. Both Sandwich’s were SO GOOD!!!! If I can Give Brenda “A Trillion Star’s”⭐️ ✨ I would. We visited Montgomery, AL for the Honda Battle of the Bands. When we inquired about good, local place to eat, Brenda’s BBQ was highly recommended. We were not disappointed. The BBQ plate was DELICIOUS. Big meaty ribs, thick cut fries, and yummy coleslaw and GOOD SAUCE! The folks serving the food and waiting in line were all friendly. Good vibes! Definitely worth the money and we will revisit the next time we are in Montgomery.

Driving through Montgomery, this restaurant was out only stop. While it is not located in the fanciest part of town, our family was so happy we stopped. (Carry out Only) We were greeted by the great granddaughters of the original owners, and her friendliness was the best part of Alabama! It was close to closing time and she could not have been more gracious. We tried the fish sandwich, fish platter, chicken sandwich, chopped pork sandwich and plate, nothing was fancy, but it was so so good. The seasonings were perfect and the serving sizes huge. The fish has the bones in it, just like she warned us so know that ahead. The BBQ has a lot of finger licking good sauce, but it’s a lot not your dry rub variety. Side dishes were amazing! Potato salad, fries and baked beans-. Yummy! We would definitely stop again! Thank you for your hospitality Brenda’s!

Loved the food! Friendly service too! Easy parking for hassle free pick up! Food was good and warm ❤️ meat was fresh, sides were good. Really recommend this local spot! You can tell the food was fresh! The people that helped us were kind and helpful! The flavor was unique I am a fan of bbq and travel all over the south this place is great! Simple and easy menu with everything you would expect. We will be back to try more items soon.

I can’t rave enough about this place! I know nothing of the sides…but the meat and the sauce are so worth the calories! The serving is plentiful and the sauce is just right and when the bread soaks into the sauce……. #heaven! Don’t let the location deter you…this is a must have!
