Was hired here 2 years ago. Photos show my fav time right after setting up in the morn. Good owner, good boss and good food. I tend to rate a place on the simpler things like biscuits and gravy. If they care enough to make the cheaper dishes extra good, they will make the more expensive dishes extra good like the chicken fried steaks for example, which are created with care. Soft biscuits smothered in plenty of gravy, that’s my go-to comfort food right there and this is the place to get it.

We went to Brenda’s Cafe about 7:45a on a monday and it wasn’t very crowded. Our server was very nice and attentive. The food was super yummy. The pancakes were huge, and the grits were super good as well. It’s the best breakfast joint around.

OMG! Where to start with this disaster of a breakfast! Prices overpriced! My breakfast sandwich the toast wasn’t toasted! Asked for sourdough and got white bread! My extra egg on the side was over cooked and the bacon was hard as railroad ties! My wife’s breakfast hash browns was undercooked! Her overeasy eggs way overcooked! Straight up burnt toast that was inedible! We waited 17 minutes to order! And 31 more minutes to receive our meal! Worst service I’ve experienced in the world! Extremely unacceptable with less than a half full dining area! As a trained chef I was appalled by the experience! ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY NOT RECOMMENDED!! Unless your dogs at home are starving! The positive reviews are misleading and obviously set by loyal locals! Because they are far from honest!

Needed some home cooking as we are visiting here, we found it! The menu is great with many choices, great prices, more than enough portions and the wonderful pleasant folks that work there made it that much more worth it. I had the hamburger steak platter and my daughter had the chicken fried chicken. I highly recommend stopping here if you’re visiting, you won’t be disappointed.

We ate breakfast at Brenda’s. The food was good with large portions. Friendly service. The idea of live music is nice and even though I don’t like country music, they played it well. But, honestly, it killed the conversation at our table because we couldn’t hear each other.

Went in at 1pm. Waited a few min to be seated, and got seated at the same time as the table next to us. Three other tables came in after us. All four other tables got their food ate and were leaving, while we were STILL waiting for our meal. We ended up leaving so I can’t review the food, but to watch 3 tables that walked in after us eat and finish was super frustrating. Ended up leaving at 2pm, unfed. We won’t be back.
