Nice local restaurant and bar. Lots of good reviews, but my Monty Cristo was very dry caused by an huge dry bun. Sweet tots were great as well as my wife’s cheese fries. One orders from the wall menus and pay at the counter. The food is delivered to your table. Friendly service and a nice unpretentious atmosphere. Plenty of parking. I suspect this could be a nice meeting place for locals.

Cannon “Cannonda”
I’ve been going to bretts for close to decade now, and it’s always been great with friendly staff. I appreciate that it is somewhere in between a sit-down restaurant and a fast food joint. They have a wide range of sandwiches. The hamburger is thick and juicy with smoked bacon. I only recently found out that they have a double cheese burger, which is a great bang for the buck if you are hungry. They also have an eating challenge, although I have never tried it. It looks like it would be great fun.

Not sure what all of the 4 and 5 stars are about. The food was horrible. Ordered the steak sandwich and my wife ordered the BLT. When the order came out they brought 2 BLT’s and the steak sandwich. We said we only ordered 1 BLT. No apologies from the server but they took the 2nd BLT back. When I went to bite into my steak sandwich it was tougher than my truck tire. I let the girl at the counter know and she offered to take it away but didn’t ask if I wanted anything else. I got a hold of someone else and asked for a BLT for myself because the steak was like rubber and she just commented yes sometimes the cuts of meat are tough. Within 2 minutes the server brought one out. I asked how it came out so fast and if they just brought the original one they tried to bring. Server insisted it wasn’t but when I went to pick it up the bread was no longer toasted but soggy like it was the one they originally tried to bring. Food was horrible and service was worse. Would never go back to this place again and do not recommend.

Great Local American Place to Eat with your family. Kid friendly menu. Great Take out. Local owners, are kind and efficient. We order the tilapia, bison burger and chicken fingers at least once a week. It’s a go to place in the West Side, Athens , Ga.

This place was great. I joined my family and some friends to share several dishes and I’m so happy I did so. The onion rings are possibly the best this side of the Mississippi, if not the country. Forget ketchup. Their house made sauce is not too be missed.

This is a local burger, chicken, salad etc place in Athens. We go here a couple times a month and have tried quite a few of their items. Burgers are my favorite but everything has been good and prices are reasonable. Give them a try – you won’t be disappointed.

This place was great. I felt so at home, from a small town in Virginia and this had the textbook diner-like feel to it. I stopped in for a late lunch around 2, there were only a few patrons in house due to it being a strange hour for eating, but I enjoyed the salad and was able to get work accomplished on the complimentary Wi-Fi.
