We heard so many good things about this place and were disappointed. We ordered the shrimp appetizer. The breading was good, but the shrimp was really overcooked. My husband had the smoked trout with a loaded baked potato and a caesar salad. The trout and potato were good. The salad was ok, but very overpriced for the size. I had the ahi tuna steak with a side of broccolini. The tuna had no flavor and the broccolini was a little tough. At first, service was good, but after we got our entrees, no one returned. We had to find another server to see about more wine. By the time she returned, we decided against more wine because we had already finished our food. The entire meal was overpriced. On a positive note, the food presentation was great.

I’ve been here several times and it’s always a top-notch meal. I got the crab cake this time and it was good but not great. I’ll stick with the chicken and steak dishes from now on but we love this place.

We visited Bricktop’s recently. I have only been here once before during the pre-pandemic Era. We started with drinks, I got an old fashion and my husband had a martini, both drinks were good. For appetizers, the table ordered deviled eggs with million-dollar bacon, wagyu meatballs, and roasted artichokes. I don’t care for deviled eggs but everyone else enjoyed them. The meatballs and artichokes were delicious! For our entrées, I had the Chilean Sea Bass (no side), and my husband ordered sides (vegetarian). The others in our party had meatloaf and ahi tuna. I highly recommend the crispy brussel sprouts sprouts.

Two senior couples out for dinner and our first time in the dining room. Carson , our server, took great care of us on food and drinks. I had the Trout and my wife had the Crab cakes – both were superb and we split a delicious wedge salad. It was a noisy night with some sort of convention in town but we had a cozy corner booth. Really great food and service.

They knew the menu & made great suggestions & took really great care of us & Clean tables & chairs/booth seats, high quality silverware & glasses & along with clean restrooms with fabulous wallpapers!

BrickTop’s is located right off of 280 in Birmingham just past the summit. This place offers a great bar and the menu is fantastic. We had drinks and appetizers for a quick meeting and it hit the spot. The deviled eggs and millionaire bacon was absolutely the best I’ve ever had and the Shanghai shrimp was great as well. The waiter was extremely nice, quick, but didn’t linger to long. We will definitely be stopping back in again.

I would consider a reservation for dinner, as we did. Service was prompt and attentive. The wait between the appetizer and main course was long, but the kitchen was busy. All 3 people I was with had the Lobster Bisque as a 1st course and raved about it. For the entrée, my wife and I had the trout. One friend had the tuna with sesame, and the other had beef short-ribs. All 3 dishes were well presented, and excellent tasting. For dessert we all had bread pudding. It was fantastic. My only negative, which is typical these days, is that it was far to noisy, making conversation difficult.

I cannot recall how many times that I have revisited this place. Each time has been special and an adventure with great service and better food. Just a special nod to the crab cakes that had just enough breading that I could not tell you that it was 100% crab meat. They were amazing and deceptively filling filling for their appearance.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND this restaurant. The dishes, drinks and appetizers were outstanding. I brought my husband here for Father’s Day dinner and he enjoyed everything he ordered and so did our daughter. I would recommend trying their ribeye steak or their grouper because both of those were amazing, and their sides were just flavorful which added to the entrees. We will be returning here for another dinner or possibly lunch meal.
