Wow! What a delightful experience! The brisket is not your ordinary brisket. It’s Angus beef! This brisket was melt in your mouth tender. It looked like it had been tenderized. It was Fabulous! With a delicate smoke flavor and just the right amount of seasonings. And the ribs! The rib meat fell off the bone! The chicken is from free ranged chickens. What a difference in the quality of the meat! The handmade bar-b-que sauce was the defining touch to an already impressive meal. The sweet cream style corn was really good. Along with the homemade potato salad. Not only was the food fabulous but even the atmosphere was wonderful. Looking all around at the walls and seeing all of the different variety of colors of reclaimed wood from old barns and buildings that was painstakingly restored and laid out in a beautiful array of colors along the walls. Even the front door was pure craftsmanship. The blending of two old church pews was turned into the beautiful front door.

EXCELLENT straight across the board! BEST brisket we have ever eaten! Creamed corn gets highest reviews! Owners are the meaning of helpful, friendly, and obviously dedicated to operating the BEST BBQ joint in the San Antonio area! BONUS is they have received 14 ratings of in a row by the Food and Health department! Just WOW all the way around! Wish we had a place as good in our small Texas city! We will continue to eat at Brickyard on every visit to San Antonio !

Me and my family came here for my birthday about a week ago and it was so wonderful. The service was friendly and helpful. The food was incredible, brisket, ribs and pork sandwich all well seasoned, tender and well cooked. Wonderful, clean place with wonderful owners and staff. Absolutely recommend if looking for excellently priced, excellent quality bbq. Sides were tasty as well!!

Some of the best BBQ I’ve ever had and I’ve eaten BBQ all over the country and San Antonio. The brisket is melt in your mouth tender, you don’t need a knife to cut it. Creamed corn is perfection, tried the green beans that weren’t on the menu today and they were excellent as well. Cole slaw is fresh and tasty, the chicken is also a favorite of ours. I’ve never had a bad meal here. My kids love the food as well. This is our go to BBQ place in the city.

Literally the best bbq brisket I have ever had, hands down!!! We stopped in after a long drive coming in from Houston to drop a patient off. I am from Louisiana and wanted to try some Texas bbq. This place did not disappoint. The hospitality, the FOOD, and the generous portions make this place unbeatable!

Reviews speak for themselves. I walked in as soon as they opened and was immediately greeted by the staff. Very friendly and helpful when it came to ordering. Not a big green bean person but they were recommended to me and I really enjoyed them. Brisket was pretty nice. Good flavor and very tender. Not the juiciest but they use a very fine cut of meat which offsets the need for juicyness. Onion rings were nice and fresh. Very flavorful and sizeable. The super star to me was the sausage. I don’t know what it was but there was this little spicy in there that sets it apart from most others! One of the employees was telling me it’s made specifically for them and you can definitely tell. Something that I enjoyed was the peaceful atmosphere. It was nice to enjoy a nice plate of BBQ by myself and without having loud country music blaring as most other restaurants do. I was able to chow down and read the news while still receiving great service. Prices were a bit up there for a 2 meat plate but you can tell everything is sourced fresh and taken care of in house which is always worth a couple of extra $$ to me. Overall 5/5 and I will be returning again!
