This restaurant, is out of the way, in a small town, but one time ago it was the go-to place… Now, it is quiet but still loved. The 2 person staff serve up fantastic customer service and homemade cooking. While waiting to receive your meal you can purchase homemade pastries or shop from a small area of homemade products… My husband loved his chicken fried steak, with hash browns, eggs, and toast. I couldn’t eat all of my scratch pancakes, bacon, and an egg on the side…. We both chose tall glasses of pure water.. the prices were very reasonable. The cinnamon roll was huge and only cost $1. They only accept paper so bring your wallet the next time you are in Wrenshall… you’ll be happy you are there.

The Cook gave me a node when I walked in, this is a good omen, I said to myself. Small town Restaurant, I was going to give a 3 Star, but they have counter seating… All about getting you food. No nonsense sort of place, No Credit Cards and No Masks. As I said Counter seating along with booth and table seating… Full capacity I guess ~70ish. Came here for Breakfast, a one person grill and one person wait staff. I was in shortly after opening. Great friendly service and no nonsense menu, eggs bacon hash browns and a well done English muffin… Hit the spot! And they have Clean bathrooms. Locals fill up once the morning cranks up. What does that tell you?

They aren’t open very often but Byron and Caroline are very friendly. Breakfast is delicious and super good prices! They also have an assortment of homemade jams, honey, and syrup you can by inside they restaurant. Great small town feel and hospitality. The kids love it.

The owner cook is a great guy however his waitress wife has the personality of a zit. Burgers are average, walleye is the worst fish I ever had and same menu items since they opened. I do not recommend eating there.

Terrible food that will make you sick, pretty racist owner, the atmosphere sucks, and the bar has an anti-Islam meme on it. Don’t go here there is a bar that’s like a 3-minute walk and maybe a minute drive with way better food and service there.

The Brickyard is owned by fantastic people who are very generous. The food is good but not great. I keep going back because of the people.
