Despite having checked the ratings and reviews beforehand, our experience at this spot wasn’t quite as great as we had hoped. After a tiring 5-hour road trip, we were all incredibly hungry.

Service was top notch, food was excellent, the onion rings were fabulous! Overall I will return again and again when we pass through town.

Cozy little bar and grill located in the AmericInn. Decently sized menu for such a small place with some creative entrees. I had the luau burger, which came with Canadian bacon, pineapple, and pepper jack cheese. Very tasty! Our server was polite and helpful.

It was only two of us and we waited forever to have our order taken, and then waited around an hour to receive our food (not busy– around 2pm on a Friday). Gluten free buns available, but this establishment would not be safe for anyone with celiac. Server seemed unfamiliar with gluten sensitivities/ was unwilling to check about ingredients (despite it not being busy). Server was also rude about vegetarianism when we were asking to have no meat on a plate of nachos– then despite a whole conversation about the *trend* of vegetarianism, nachos still had meat. The teriyaki wings my partner ordered smelt like straight soy sauce and my partner could barely eat it because it was so gross.

Consistently the worst food in Valley City! Expensive low class food! My family ordered sandwiches at $17 each.. they were horrible! Small children under the age of 10.. nothing special and our tab was $120. Valley City has no place to eat now!. That’s pretty sad. Trestles at golf course has gone downhill and prices uphill. I guess eat at the DQ? Get a BBQ and nacho cheese.. kinda like a Cheesy Q.

It’s OK bar type food. I will say their salads look really good, but the burger I had was subpar. My wife had chicken wings and they came out really dry and almost tasteless.

Not impressed. The wings were so-so, burger looked good. On the bill was also charged for another table. Unsweetened tea was spoiled. The waitress looked overworked and forgetful ,and had to keep coming back to the table. Will not stop there again.

Unexpectedly good! Just burgers, sandwiches, pizza, salad and apps, no real “entrees”. Was packed full at 6PM on a December Wednesday night with construction guys, locals and even what appeared to be an Association meeting of some sort. Megan was our server with an amazing and infectious attitude. She killed it! The burgers we top notch, fast, fresh and tasted great. For a couple of traveling salesmen, the food and a beer, it hit the spot.

Drink was nice and strong, food was fair priced and DELICIOUS. Place was recommended to me by a local and happened to be connected to my hotel so I gave it a shot and I’m so glad I did. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and the service was quick and friendly. Plus, the fries were crispy and you could taste in the fries that their fryer oil is clean – and that always gets 5 stars

We have been here 6 times. It’s the best food in valley city because it’s the only sit down food in Valley City. IT’S THE WORST IN NORTH DAKOTA!!!! GO TO MCDONALD’S IF YOU’RE HUNGRY.
