You really need to visit this place if you appreciate & enjoy fine wine, food and live music. Annie is the owner and super friendly. Nice alternative to downtown. Cocktail shown is the Brightwater Sunset.

Wow wow wow. As a local food critic, self proclaimed chef and food and wine pairing master I was s impressed Brightwaters Wine Bar and Restaurant. From the ambiance to the quant French style cuisine. I had the opportunity and honor to he invited to this restaurant by a dear friend who wanted to check it. She knows I give food reviews and thought this would be a great spot to hit up and have me do one of my reviews.

This business is only 2 months in and still working through the kinks. The food menu is well designed with nice variety and interesting options. They stated they they are still tweaking the menu. The staff was super friendly, but not particularly knowledgeable of the food or wine. They always tried to find the answers, but did not seem prepared. Typically, a wait staff will review/taste the menu before starting a shift so they know how to speak to the different items. They aren’t there yet, but I hope they keep working on it. The portions are very small and the prices are quite high. The wine selection is decent, but lacks some variety. Again, the staff struggled to speak with to the wine menu with any knowledge, but really tried and were very kind. I’m hopeful that they will work hard on continuing to improve as I would like to see them succeed. In the meantime, Main St. Wine Company around the corner is dialed in on great wine options with an excellent Sommelier running the show. I’ll return soon to see how they are progressing here.

I love this place. The staff are super friendly, they know their wine and food.. the food is excellent, a wide range on the menu but all created with heart. They have awesome burgers too! A fun spot!

While in the area once a month to get my dogs groomed, I stop here for some delicious food and drinks. Staff is amazing and the food menu isn’t too big to overwhelm you. Drink menu is legit. Also, patio is dog friendly. Will continue to come back.

Our trip to Huntington Beach came in the middle of an epic rainstorm, but it didn’t deter us from walking the beach (ok, we kept it pretty brief). We ducked into Brightwaters after the deluge to warm up with a quick beverage, and found an engaging, attentive staff who kept our drinks topped up and the conversation flowing.

Southbay FINALY comes to Surf City. Upscale food, drink, and service without ANY attitude. Live jazz on Friday night set the tone for our perfect Califlower, Artichoke, Cold Noodle Salad (and of course Rye old fashions that were Amazing). One street off Main and works apart. Life is GREAT.
