Went for the first time yesterday while visiting Kilgore. The atmosphere is a nice, quaint little place, and the food was great. Had the cabbage rolls, which were delicious and very filling. It was a nice introduction to real Hungarian food. The only drawback was a limited daily menu, which is understandable being a small operation. Definitely recommended!

The food is steaming hot! It was good. We had the chicken paprikas and the bratwurst with sauerkrat and mashed potatoes.

Was really happy to find this joint while in town. The owner was super friendly and even had time to sit down and chat with us for a while. We enjoyed the food and the family atmosphere. They had a community jigsaw puzzle on one table, books and magazines for people to read, over all very family oriented. We will visit again when in the area!

You lost me with paper bowls and plastic forks. Don’t cheapen your food by serving it that way. People eat with their eyes first. When it doesn’t look appealing it is hard to enjoy the taste. Also the price point for what you actually got to eat was way too high. I appreciate that everything is scratch made and quality ingredients were used, but it just wasn’t a $50 dinner. Sorry

Paper plates and plastic forks. It is hard to go out to dinner where good food is served on throw away utensils.

Way over-priced and over-hyped. Ordered the schnitzel (which costs almost $20), and it came totally plain (no sauce of any kind) with just one slice of bread and some mashed potatoes thrown on the plate – no green veggies of any kind or even butter for the bread. You have to order at the counter, food is served on paper plates, the flimsy plastic forks broke while eating, and you have to throw away your own plates/trash when finished. Menu is very limited. The food was very plain and not that good. We’re traveling through town and like to support local places. After reading the reviews, we were excited to give it a try – but it was very disappointing… especially given how expensive it is!! Seriously underwhelmed. It’s like fast food meets wannabe Hungarian food with “sit-down restaurant” prices.

My husband and I Passing through Kilgore and decided to try something new. Seeing how this the 1st time we had Hungarian food we can’t compare. However this place did not disappoint. The man there cooked quickly and was on point with how he described the food. Next time we pass through we will definitely stop by to try another dish. Thank you for the tastful food and hospitality.

Excellent food, very nice people. We made our first trek over, from Tyler, and were very pleased. My husband said that their cabbage rolls were just like his Dad used to make. We will definitely be back, and highly recommend.

Great authentic Hungarian food. I had Pork Paprikas and Stuffed Cabbage. Both were delicious. The decor was very homey and comfortable. The owner was extremely friendly and conversational. You can tell he is very passionate about his food. There are different items on the menu depending on what day you go.
