I have high hopes for Brine’s success. The ambiance is truly remarkable, evoking the vibrant spirit of NOLA with its decor, complemented by live jazz on the balcony. The staff’s warmth and attentiveness enhance the experience, ensuring guests are well looked after. While the food we tried was enjoyable, and we had several dishes, I missed something that excited me. Nevertheless, I believe in their potential to refine their offerings, given their dedication. I look forward to returning, I believe Brine has all the elements to thrive and deliver an outstanding dining experience. A unique place in the Grosse Pointe community worth checking out.

Tried almost everything on the menu and it was delicious! Especially love the sea charcuterie and oysters. Great vibe and GREAT service. Such an exciting addition to our neighborhood. Can’t wait to return! 🙂

Lovely space, but mediocre food. Had the mussels with soppressato tomato, which looked like someone just poured a can of tomatoes over mussels. Cast iron pot they were in was small so you couldn’t get to any of the “broth” and none of the mussels on the bottom were open (about 6). Fries were rubbery and tasted like they were warmed up in a microwave, no salt or seasoning. Cocktail was fine, but nothing special. Wasn’t that busy, but the hostesses couldn’t quite figure out where to seat me (I was a solo diner wanting to sit at the bar). One went upstairs saying she was looking to see if there was room for me at the upstairs bar (even though there were 3 seats open at the main bar) and never came back. The other hostess just stood there the whole time. I waited about 15mins and the seats at the bar were still open so I just sat myself. The guy next to me didn’t finish his oysters, said they tasted bad and didn’t want to be sick. Really bummed, was excited for a new GP restaurant.

Wonderful experience as the atmosphere & service was fantastic! Love the NOLA vibe & decor & music. Food was mediocre. I am used to New Orleans so this was a disappointment. Sea charcuterie was very good! Shellfish bisque was great. Fries are just ok. Lemon meringue pie was outstanding! Posh Nosh fish sticks were awful. Coconut cream pie was inedible. Cucumber/watermelon salad under seasoned, mushroom side dish not good. Crispy Oyster Roll did not need all that sweet red sauce. Needs a good Mayo & keep it simple….tastes nothing like a NOLA fried oyster sandwhich. Cocktail menu needs work & should include some classic New Orleans cocktails. I will go back many times as I know they will improve the menu & the service was so good! The Vibe is what Grosse Pointe desperately needs. Overall 3 out of 5 stars.

I love their music. As a neighbor that lives close, I find it soothing and love to hear people having fun and enjoying themselves. My kids love it too!

Portions are small. The French fries tasted dry as if they were reheated.
