Eating the corn creme brulee is a whole new way to eat corn….a mind blowing corn experience Oh my goodness was it ever amazing! Paired with the quail it was an exquisite taste. Coming here is a must! *Edited from previous review*

This is a great new restaurant housed inside a historic late nineteenth century brick building, that has retained it’s vintage charm. Two of us enjoyed the mouth-watering Pecan crusted steelhead trout, served over mashed potatoes and green beans. That was one of the best pieces of fish I’ve enjoyed in a long time. Sides we tried were the fried brussels spouts (lightly fried, appeared sauteed), veggies (cauliflower and green beans) and Redneck cheddar mac & cheese, with pork belly crumbs on top, all were tasty. I’ll be back soon to try the Tejas cheesecake. The food is very reasonably priced considering the quality. Service was cheerful and friendly. The Pan de Sal (rolls) is accompanied by their house-made butter and for $5 I highly recommend this as a starter.

Hands down the best Sandwhich I had. Service was prompt and friendly. Quality of the food is beyond I have expected. Home made fries is addicting.

Get the tomahawk pork chop! It’s really good. All the food I have tried has been great.

This was my first time there, the bread was good, butter was fantastic. Caesar salad was very good, it was not like any Caesar salad I had had before. The dressing was quite good very different, but nice refreshing change. My steak was excellent, Seasoned just right, very tender and juicy. Cooked just like I asked, bake potato with fried onion strings is good. Maybe more onion strings… but that’s my take on it.

Everything I ate at Brique was excellent! I’ve never had such good creamy mashed potatoes – and that chicken fried steak Wow! Had the wonderful fudgey dessert which was absolutely wonderful. Loved the scone and muffin – would like to see Cathe try her hand at an egg casserole. Some parent always brought one to Teacher Appreciation Day over the years and I never had a bad one. 🙂

Rough opening – Out of salad, food took a long time to get to us, and staff seemed very disorganized and rushed. My grandfather ordered porkchop which looked to be delicious, but it was raw on the inside. Another family ordered sirloin which just didn’t taste very good. The food that I received on the other hand was pretty tasty. I realize that it’s an opening, and bound to have problems, but still, it wasn’t busy enough to justify the problems it had. Place has good potential and great presentation but overall lacks substance.

I love this restaurant. Ate here last Tuesday (1-17-17) for the first time, and I had the grilled pork Chop, and my husband had the quail. We both loved our choices. We also ordered the Mac & Cheese, which was large enough for us to share. Also very good. We were both full, but just had to try the banana pudding, which was excellent. I feel the price my be a little high for the area, but not for the quality of the food. I rank this as one of my all time favs, and hope they are around for a long time.

Refreshing change of pace for Elgin dining. Creative menu and meal presentations. Great background music. Friendly and attentive service. Have had delicious dinners here (fish, salads) and have become a regular for brunch. Love the fresh-squeezed orange juice, mimosas, homemade bread, flavored butters, and more.
