After couple drinks, you definitely need something to eat and the best way to do it is simply to stop by Brisas…. they have multiple choices of empanadas and I can tell frankly, that was not a bad choice…I had Argentinian beef empanada and also ordered corn chicken empanada…that was really tasty. I will have to go back and try other stuff they have. Adding on top, the staff was so lovely and friendly which boosted my experience with them.

We’re long time customers since Don Alvero’s first restaurant. We now live out of state, but when we come to Jersey we always stop into his restaurant/ bakery. Today we stopped into his newest bakery. His food as always phenomenal! Unfortunately his staff’s customer service was not to his standard. I had to wait at least 7 mins to give my order, on top of that, after getting our food at the register. We sat down. Two younger customers came in, made their order within minutes and their orders were brought over to them. All service should be given equally. Thank you always Don Alvero !

I was really excited to try this place but I should’ve read some reviews before deciding to come here. I wish their food was as good as their customer service. Staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately their empanadas were not. For a place that’s known for empanadas I was truly disappointed. I had 2 chicken and 1 beef empanadas and it had to be the driest empanadas I ever had and by far the worst. They tasted like it was made days ago and barely had any meat inside. I probably won’t be returning. There’s nothing unique about this restaurant. Their sauces were also pretty standard (green and pink sauce) even that by couldn’t save the empanadas from being so dry, it was a terribly sad experience..

1st time there. I ordered several different empandas. The spinach,beef,chicken and a potato ball with beef. My beef empandas taste like oil. Old oil. Very disappointed we had to throw it out. All I wanted was a good seasoned empanada

Great spot for delicious empanadas. They do the traditional Colombian style which is corn based vs. the common flour based versions. The corn creates a nice crispy, less pastry flavor profile and texture which I personally prefer. Plus, you can’t beat their prices!

Is a small place in Morris Avenue (Elizabeth, New Jersey). The attendant speaks english and spanish. The empanadas are really good: Crunchy and tasty. Specially chicken. Some sides like potatos are offered when you ask for chicken wings. Outside, the place have 4 tables, to eat what you bought. In the other hand, the place is some noisy and transited. In general, the taste is good and you can prove some Latin soda (i prefer La Colombiana).

I am very unhappy with the customer service in Brisas Empanadas in 308 Morris Ave, Elizabeth. This is the second time that I order meat empanadas and the lady that works there makes decisions for the customer instead of saying “Sorry, we don’t have any meat empanadas right now, you don’t mind if I give you chicken empanadas instead” She just make the decision for you to give whatever is there. I am paying for them.
