The location and the service was fantastic. I had got there 45 minutes before they opened. So after reviewing the menu had my heart set on the hot roast beef sandwich with gravy. To my chagrin, the roast beef was not ready upon opening, thus my 4 stars instead of 5. Ended up having a decent burger and oysters. Great view of the marina area. Sad I never got back for dinner. I would say it is a place to visit.

I went there a while back, liked it, and decided to go again to find out the menu changed. We were also told another menu was starting on Wednesday. The stuffed mushrooms were flavored well, but left in the serving plate runny. Like alot. Must have had 1/4″ of liquid in the dish. When we picked them up the stuffing fell out and had to scoop up out the liquid. We then ordered shrimp and crab gumbo that turned out thick and pasty. It wasn’t a good gumbo. The crab cakes were very well presented. They tasted great, however, small as a well trimmed ice cream scoop. I did enjoy these with the sauce. I tried the shrimp tacos. They wouldn’t let me combine between having one of each. (Blackened/Grilled). I had no problem with any additional charges. It was different having feta cheese on a taco. The feta cheese overpowered everything on it. When the other flavors came through without the feta, it was a well prepared grilled taco. The fried shrimp platter was done well and sized with lots of fries. Shrimp were crispy as well as tasty. Accompanied with a Chateau St. Michelle Riesling. The staff worked hard , but I don’t like being rushed in dining so I held a menu and ordered 1 thing at a time to relax and enjoy the atmosphere on the lake. I probably will not return here. The plus is sitting on a covered deck with fans out of the direct sun. Then they turned the fans off making it very unpleasant. We had to switch seats because the extra breeze was gone. Then the afternoon sun really started beaming in. Will I return ? No I will not. Overall we spent $125 on lunch. Yes I tipped our server. It’s not his fault. I feel the place is kinda running downhill. Outliving its prime. Or, the owners are greedy with financial issues. Especially when there are major menu changes and a downsizing of a menu. Although, it was hard to park and the place had a nice crowd. They offer limited valet parking. One look at the attendant and I decided not to. The best dish was Twin Tornadoes. 2 petit filet. A great couples dish to share on a pleasant afternoon. Never had it and never will. They were out of it the first time I went. Now, It is off the menu.

You are totally paying for the view. The food is okay. They could do better if they tried. The food out of the kitchen is notoriously slow.

Great food, great atmosphere and great service. We wanted to get away from french quarter and discovered this awesome little gem.

Great experience. Delicious food. Large portions. Service was attentive without being the least bit intrusive. Ordered turtle soup, chicken jambalaya, and blackened catfish. Balanced seasoning, bold flavors, bite of chicken or sausage in every scoop of the jambalaya. Exceeded this traveler’s expectation. Thank you.

Came in with restaurant kind of busy, Manager told us an hour wait. No big deal, he didn’t ask for our number so we said we would go downstairs and wait. Almost an hour past and the restaurant seemed to be clearing out so we went upstairs to check on the status. We stood at the host stand for 15minutes while the hostess ignored us. There were two host and we’re back and forth at the hoststand. Not to mention the very first table you see the was rolling silverware at and kept her Wendy’s bag and drink there. Finally when we stopped her and initiated conversation, she sat us on the patio with only two other tables. The waitress made it known that she was not taking anymore tables. Then ignored us for 15minutes till we left. Good thing y’all have a great location because this is seriously the worse hospitality. Side note: the general manager was the leader of these poor behaviors.

Ambience is everything!!! Prices are a little higher than average but the food makes it well worth it.

The service was good, drinks were good and if you can sit outside the view is wonderful however the food is hit or miss. Some of the dishes are tasty but most are mediocre at best. I’d stick to cocktails at sunset with a couple appetizers.

Great place to grab dinner, either date night or night out with the girls! Had the Stuffed Mushrooms and Sriracha Shrimp (a definite must) and both were amazing! Split the Red Snapper Pontchartrain and Short ribs and both were delicious! Mirliton dressing as a side was a nice addition! Service was also very good! Nice place to grab a bite to eat with a great view!

We’ve only ever dined downstairs to enjoy the view, the breeze and the entertainment. The food down stairs is yummmy for the grill.
