Ok, I been coming in for Many, Many Years and is The Best Fried Chicken That I ever had. And I Never had any inconveniences At all. Like everyone knows Perfect Chicken it takes time to make and cook. You just don’t want to eat something that is not done right. So what I also have to say if you don’t like it go to the Gas station ⛽ nearest you. But Maybe you would know the difference. The older women who works here is super sweet and she makes the food with love. She makes the food right in front of you. If you are in a rush to get food, this may not be the place for you. The order takes about 20 minutes. You can place an order on the phone. I ordered 2 chicken platters. 3 pieces of chicken and a lot of fries. The chicken here is the best in the area without including big franchises. My only regret was not getting the 8 piece instead of the platter. You get more chicken.

TLDR: food is good (and fresh), value is good, service slow and cleanliness poor. A big point I’ll give to this restaurant is that I saw our food being made and although it took over half an hour for my wings to be ready I have confidence they were made fresh and they tasted good. This is fried chicken that is made without a lot of breading so it isn’t for everybody but I liked the style. Also to mention that the wings and fries were very reasonably priced where it felt like a steal. The cleanliness of this establishment isn’t inspiring with the fries in the fridge on open display and the tables unkempt although the hand sanitizer at the entrance is nice.

The chicken is cook excellent not greasy like Popeyes and KFC they pressure cook the chicken with a light coating of flour and enough salt to taste the chicken without any seasoning over powering the flavor and quality of the chicken. They have been in business for many years. The fries are excellent too and the price is reasonable. Highly recommend open late.

Summary: For the price and quality, Broasterant may serve the best fried chicken in the Hartford area. The fried chicken is consistently juicy and seasoned perfectly. The chicken plate is also accompanied by a mountain of french fries and dinner roll. The owner is very friendly and the service is excellent.

It was the best fried chicken I’ve had for a long time. It is one of a few places that are open late at night, and it gets PACKED. Get ready to wait (every batch of chicken takes 9 min to make) but it’s definitely worth the wait!

I wouldn’t say it’s the best fried chicken I’ve ever had, but it was quite tasty and satisfying. The place is a dive, but the service was good. A one man show; an impressive and efficient guy who was attentive and quick. We ordered the 8 piece with a large fry. The chicken is small and tender (I hate chicken on steroids) fried nicely and crispy, but still moist. The flavor was very mild and it could probably be spiced a tad more, but hey, it’s worked for them so who am I? The fries were underwhelming. Frozen matchstick fries, but fried well and crispy. Everything was fried perfectly; not greasy or heavy at all. An overall good experience. We’ll go back. You should try it!
