Great place to eat in the middle of nowhere. We had the Monday night specail, buy a full rack of ribs and get half a rack for free plus two sides. The ribs where lip smacking good and the sides where tasty and filling. We will be back. Locally owned, reasonably priced, and friendly attentive service. I could not believe this place was located in Kewanee Illinois. Kids eat free on monday nights.

We ate at the Broken Chimney for the first time yesterday. They had very good food, I had the smoked chicken, it was a whole half chicken, baked beans, cole slaw, and Texas toast. My wife had the BBQ brisket strips, they came with everything mine did, she brought half home.

We had a large party for a Celebration of Life for my brother. Our server Debbie was absolutely the best. She did everything from serving our food and making drinks. We are a large Irish family so her handling to drinks too was a challenge but her service was fabulous.

I wish I could give them a 3.5 because the first time I went there things were better, but that was a while ago. We went there on a Friday night about an hour and a half before they closed we ordered simple things that don’t take that much time like, a burger, tenderloin and ribs. my ribs were only warm not hot. The other two dishes were fine but they also brought our appetizer and right behind it was the entrees. This is a pet peeve of mine. They were not busy so I did not get what the problem was. This also happened the first time I ate there I wanted a salad to start with and eat first which I clearly told the server and of course it all came out at once. Now the staff was very nice they just seemed inexperienced. Also one of the entrees did come out late and they did comp it and gave us a free dessert also. I do believe the things were handled well by the staff and will try them again. Maybe we just caught them on a bad night possibly short handed. Overall the food was good and staff was very friendly and the discrepancies were well handled by the manager and server. Hope for a better experience next time.

Great decor, excellent personable service and very clean. It’s not loud or rackety with plates banging. I don’t take food pics, but had I done so, I would have needed a wide angle lens because the portions are so ample!!! Just a great restaurant in a cute little town. Perfect for a huge family gathering or intimate for a quaint dinner for two. Also banquet room for that special occasion.
