We shared the combo platter. 1/4 lb of each meat and 5 sides. Had brisket, pork, chicken, sausage, and ribs. All seemed like generous 1/4 lb servings. Sides were: collards, mac n cheese, smoked beans, and hush puppies. Everything was absolutely delicious. I usually don’t like much sweet in my beans, but these were exceptional. Hush puppies are unusually light and fluffy. Very good. Food came out quickly and the service was very good. Definitely recommend. Will return.

Nice neighborhood BBQ joint. Relaxing atmosphere. Wide variety of beer and mixed drinks. I had the brisket and ribs with their Memphis sauce. The food was fine, the ribs were different then the baby back ribs that I’m used to eating. The brisket was very tender and cooked perfectly.

An absolute must stop if your in Middleville. The service was amazing. And the food was beyond delicious. I tried the Carolina burger and it came with a heaping helping of fresh homemade fries. The prices were spot on for the amount you get and how delicious it was. I can’t wait to visit again!

The smell got our attention, the beer brought us in. Exceptional service, food quality and atmosphere. Very pleased with our server. She was very available and kept on top of our beverage needs. Great barbecue, meat is not seasoned intentionally but they have a variety of great sauces and the meat is cooked perfectly, very moist, plenty of bark and smokey flavor. Highly recommended.

Let me start off by saying this was THE BEST food I have ever had here in Michigan. Everything is house made. The macaroni was so mouth wateringly delicious. The brisket had absolutely everything a perfect brisket needs. Now let me tell you I was worried about not fitting in, in this small town but the from the wait staff down to the other customers it was so welcoming. The atmosphere was nice to say the least. Our waiter was on top of everything including drink refills. I got the brisket and Mac wrap per recommendation and the most amazing house made French fries. believe me I was not disappointed. 10/10 would recommend to anybody stopping in this small town or even passing through to stop and have a bite to eat here.

The last time we visited Broken smoker, I ordered the smoked brisket. It had a bitter taste to it. I’m not sure what kind of wood they smoke with but it wasn’t very good. The fresh cut fries were delicious and I enjoyed the variety of sauces.

Texas doesn’t have much to recommend it, that is except for BBQ. Texas knows BBQ. This is the best damn BBQ outside of Texas I’ve ever been to. The BBQ beans are the absolute best I’ve ever had. Thank God that this establishment is an easy drive from my home in Grand Rapids.

10/10 best BBQ ever. The owner (Wayne) is the real deal. Incredibly crafted works of meat. From the brisket to the pulled pork not a bad dish served there. The sauces are incredible as well!
