Been here a couple of times and things have been great so far. Country fried steak and eggs, French toast, waffles etc….trust me, its all good. Place gets packed but we got super lucky…right place at the right time. Service was good….although my kids almost got hit with a cork from a bottle being opened…crazy brush crowd

Tried the chicken fried steak and scrambled eggs. The fried steak was great, but the gravy was awful, no flavor, just thick flower and water. The biscuit looked good, it was huge! But sadly dry, and without good gravy, well did not eat much of it. Eggs were luke warm. Service was pretty good for as busy and NOISY it was.

The Fullerton location has better tasting food and drinks. The mimisa fight taste ranges from sweet to not sweet. At this location they all tasted the same and the bubbly made me cringe. I didn’t fish the flight. My hash browns were a little too burnt on some spots. The home fries didn’t get eaten.

Love the flights so much that we got 4. Basically each of us got our own flight and we were feeling good by the end. The food took a little bit of time due to being busy but I was so busy with the drinks and talking that time flew. Highly recommend trying out the flights.

The food is excellent! I ordered the strawberry crepes with chocolate sauce. Best crepes I ever had! The service was not to good for a party of twelve- I recommend insisting the service be coordinated if you are seated at separate tables. But our food was outstanding!

Pro tip: Reserve ahead at The Broken Yolk Cafe Costa Mesa to cut the wait. This breakfast hotspot is worth the buzz, and booking ahead guarantees you won’t be left hanging around for a table.

So I’ve been here 4 times already, each time I was like alright let me give it one more shot and unfortunately it’s just a miss for me. I’ve tried the chilaquiles, omelette, trio french toast and now the burger and a bite of the waffle sandwich and I have come to realize that this place just doesn’t do it for me. Lacks flavor, the drinks however, those are bomb. Each time I ordered a “fun drink” and it did not disappoint. Mimosa flight, their specialty seasonal drinks and cocktails are pretty good, it’s just the food.

I ordered the chilaquiles bowl with carne asada. The carne asada was bland, and the salsa was very sour and needed salt. The coffee was very bitter & tasted like it had been burnt, I had to add a lot of creamer & sugar for it to taste somewhat good. I’m giving it 2 stars because my daughter enjoyed her pancakes and my husband enjoyed his skillet.

Cinna-pancakes were flat. The flavor was good. Service was good. It is a little noisy.
