Originally opened in 2013, Brookland Eats proudly serves the locals of Person County, North Carolina and the surrounding counties. Choosing fresh ingredients from many local farms, we offer a variety of fresh, southern-style handmade dishes. Our interior boasts the rustic sensibilities of Roxboro while also paying tribute to Person County’s distinguished history.
We are owned and operated by Chef David Gaydeski, who served for nearly a decade as Executive Chef to three governors at the North Carolina Executive mansion in Raleigh. His kitchen at the mansion was a dynamic working classroom where he taught inexperienced staff marketable culinary skills.

Food was GREAT, everyone loved it. I got tuna and mac and cheese and liked it, my wife got shrimp and grits and she said that they were amazing. Portion was gigantic and ended up taking half home for lunch the next day. My kids got the flounder po boy and it was cooked perfectly and kids burger (which was huge) and also loved it. Everything was great, I would recommend it. We will definitely be back.

I’m from VA and came down here for business! Looked up places to eat and this place popped up! Food is amazing! Servers are amazing!! Good atmosphere and very welcoming staff! Definitely 10/10 for cleanliness! I ordered the 12oz Ribeye and it was probably one of the best steaks I’ve eaten in a restaurant! My husband ordered the shrimp and grits and said the same for his! Amazing food! Homemade everything. Down to the croutons and fried pickles! All make from scratch no frozen selection here! All ages can come and enjoy the restaurant or the large patio they have!! Will be coming back soon for date night! It’s worth the 1.5 hour drive!

Amazing food and great service. I had the club sandwich and house chips for lunch. It was a double decker club (3 pieces of bread) and the chips were perfectly crisp. For desert they has a special of lemon blueberry cake, the top of the cake was covered in blueberries and smothered in cream cheese icing. Overall great food.

Overall I would give this place a second chance. The appetizer was delicious, the main course unfortunately was bland and did not have a lot of flavor, maybe I just picked the wrong thing. Will have to try again next time.
