Brooklyn Chop House Steakhouse Times Square plays on the double meaning of the word Chop. Chop Steak to Chop Sticks. Marrying what made him a well-known name in the industry with Philippe Chow. Stratis has taken the best of those two menus and married them with Steakhouse classics like dry-aged 30-45 day Prime Steaks including Porterhouse. For 2, NY Strip, and Bone-In Rib Eye. The game-changer and the uniqueness of the BCH menu came home with taking the staples of his father’s Hilltop Diner such as the Pastrami, The Reuben, Philly Cheesesteak, Bacon Cheeseburger & the French Onion Soup and turning them into dumplings. This has driven the BCH concept viral on social media as the FIRST to reimagine the deli/diner sandwiches into dumplings.

You are definitely paying for the atmosphere. The food is 100% overpriced. For it to be a chophouse, the menu is unique with a lot of Chinese dishes (dumplings, wontons, fried rice, sesame chicken, etc). The prices were all over the place. It’s rare to find a restaurant that masters steakhouse and other foods (they did not master it), but the vibes were everything. The ambiance is warm and high scale. I had the lamb chops which were amazing but the mashed potatoes were trash. The service was “okay”. With a reservation, we still waited 45+ mins to be seated and then was seated in the far back. My husband and I ordered the same thing and his lamb chops looked more like an appetizer. When I brought it to the manager’s attention, he offered one more lamb chop that came out the same size as the rest. That was my biggest complaint.

The vibe, the food, the wait staff…..just awesome. Celebrating my husband’s birthday before a show. This was the perfect spot. Our waitress was amazing and the food was great. We were in the basement and the vibe was beautiful the playlist and the drinks were on point, too. Definitely order the goddess sangria !! Our apps and enteees were great too. Thank you Chop House!!

After hearing about this place for the past couple of years, I was finally able to come. Great atmosphere, attentive and customer-friendly staff, and a warm/inviting feeling when you enter. Our food was delicious, with the star of the show being the rock shrimp, shrimp fried rice, and double bacon. The scallion pancakes weren’t what I’m accustomed to so I really wasn’t feeling them. The velvet chicken was good, but not something I particularly would care to try again. Jay was a great server and made sure our needs were met throughout the service. We will be back. Just an FYI lobster fried rice is discontinued.

Last night was my first time at BCH, and it won’t be my last! From the moment I arrived to the moment I left, everything was chef’s kiss! The ambiance, the service, the food, the playlist, and the drinks, 10 out of 10! My reservation was for 10:30pm, and I arrived at 11pm. I called ahead to inform them of my lateness, and when I arrived Alejandra not only remembered me but was able to seat me within 10 mins. She was so pleasant & gracious. My waiter was Wang and he was very attentive and kind. I requested another drink after I closed my bill out, and he gave it to me on the house! The Sun Goddess Sangria is AMAZING, don’t play with it! I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak Spring Rolls and the Ribeye & mashed potatoes, and it was cooked to perfection, seasoned well, and hot! I wanted to order more food to take home, but the kitchen was closed. All of the doormen are very polite & thoughtful, but Eddie went above and beyond. He showed me out, walked me to my Uber and made sure I got in safely. Not only will I be back, but I’m bringing friends and family. The icing on the cake is that this place is Black Owned, and I couldn’t be more proud of you all – Godspeed!

Ok, I didn’t want to write a review because this is a place I would love to come back and support, but the experience wasn’t what I believe it should have been and hopefully there will be some improvements in the future. This is an Asian fusion styled restaurant which I thought would be amazing. The price point is high, and I think that is why I’m so disappointed.

the venue is beautiful, the staff were very professional and attentive. the drink i had was strong but you tasted mostly the puree. I had the sun goddess sangria. the food… was plated nicely, well portioned but lacked flavor. the lobster dumplings were delicious, as were the spare ribs. the salmon and vegetables looked great but not flavorful, the surf and turf fried rice had no flavor but huge portion, the steak and broccoli was good if you are a new Yorker think Chinese food spot beef and broccoli with thicker cuts of beef. the sauce was overbearing however was savory (a win is a win). We’ll try the FIDI location next time.

Right after seeing Hamilton at the Richard Rogers Theater we walkwd around the block and stopped in. The staff and service were amazing, engaging and humurous. The food was out of this world! We got the family meal – we had 7 people. Two lobsters, a whole duck, sweet and sour chicken, and a 3″ thick 3lb porter house steak with all the fixins’ two types of rice, onion rings, fries, bokchoy mushrooms, onions… and of course topshelf beverages. It was a meal and an experience to remember. OH!!! and the French Onion Soup Dumplings were wonderful!
