Got the last 1/2 rack of ribs at 7:30 pm on a Saturday night. The Brooks 2.0 sauce was the best part about it. The ribs themselves were average. Probably waited about 15 minutes. While they did give us a lot of napkins and there were forks but no knife.

I remember eating at Brooks barbecue years ago when they use to be on winter street – so I was super excited to see them back ( Electric Works) however my excitement was short lived. This did not taste like the Brooks I use to enjoy growing up. The ribs were tough and flavorless and it didn’t have the original vinegar base sauce that I use to love. I miss the old Brooks barbecue.

Ordered rib tips (sauce on side) & fries, side of Mac n cheese. Food delicious didn’t care for the sauce. Rib tips the best, can’t say enough about the smoked flavor Mac n cheese so good staff very friendly, really good customer service.

Edited: Decided to try this place because it looked very good. Worst greens I’ve ever eaten. My greens taste better than this. I ordered rib tips and they didn’t have any so I got the chicken tips. Not a fan of the vinegar based sauce. There is a piece of bread under the chicken and it’s completely soggy. The only edible thing in this is the fried okra which I got because they didn’t have yams. They also didn’t have any pork available. I went before 11:30am. I paid $21 for a meal I disliked. Edited my review … would be willing to try the ribs with the other sauce suggested.

I was very disappointed and dissatisfied in the taste, amount of food for the price! Barely any sauce on the rib tips, ribs or chicken. 6 party wings for 13 or 14.99! Smh! That little container of mac and cheese was $3.99. I understand the prices have gone up on things but really!! The ribs may have tasted better if I could have had some sauce on them. I paid $57.66 for 2 bites of mac and cheese, 3 bites of rib tips with 2 whole slices of bread-(cause they did not skimp on the bread!) 5 party wings (I ordered 6 but one fell out of the box!) with 7 french fries, and tasteless 1/2 slab of ribs because they didn’t put any sauce on them. I will stick to the other local bbq restaurants that want to just serve good old fashioned bbq and I get what I am paying for!

Fast service and good homestyle bbq and sides. Wish ribs came cut instead of as one giant slab, it made eating a bit tricky with just a plastic spork!

Ate here with some friends of ours, we both got the 1 meat + 2 sides dinner for $20. Meat portions were good sized, especially the chicken tips which I highly recommend. Basically large chunks of smoked breast meat chicken. If rib tips are your thing those were pretty good too. You can choose from 4-5 of their BBQ sauces which will come on the meat. I recommend asking for the sauce on the side so you can decide how much or little you want. The fried okra was probably the best I’ve ever had: lightly battered but super crunchy, okra cooked all the way through. Collard greens were decent as well, though I am no expert on those. 🙂

I ordered rib tips and fried okra. After waiting for 15 minutes, I was told they were out of rib tips and asked if I would want the chicken tips instead. I agreed only because my lunch break was running long already. It still took them another 10 minutes to have my order ready. The chicken tips were dry, even when drowned in sauce. The okra was delicious, but it didn’t matter after waiting 25 minutes and not receiving the meat I ordered in the first place.

This food is so inedible it is almost a joke. Crazily overpriced as well. The BBQ sauce taste like it was made by children. I could literally ONLY taste KETCHUP. MUSTARD. AND FRANKS RED HOT SAUCE. Let’s just say I’d rather eat glory greens from the can than the greens I was served at this establishment. The meat taste like it’s been refrigerated for days and the sides were just not fresh at all. My partner and I arrived at 6pm on a Friday— so I’m confused as to why the food tasted so old. I unfortunately gave it the benefit of the doubt and went back and tried the food again— and I wasted my time and money TWICE. will never EVERRRR recommend this place to anyone nor go near it again.
