Brooks is probably the best place in Conifer to eat, their food is always good, they’ve got good drinks and beers, and the staff is always nice and they do their best every time I’m there. They’ve also kept pricing the same even with inflation hitting, my favorite burger is the Baja burger and it hasn’t changed since the first time I ordered it 4 or 5 years ago, the fries are top tier and they have the best ranch dressing!

We have been visiting friends in Conifer for the week and taking them out for dinner in appreciation for their hosting us. For three of the last four nights we ended up at Brooks Place Tavern because of the tasty food, modest pricing and excellent customer service (I am a retired business owner so I am sensitive to good service). We had the very good fortune to have had Mercedes as our waitperson for two of those meals. We all agreed that Mercedes was friendly, helpful and efficient and exemplifies the qualities of a true professional. That having been said, everyone on the Brooks staff was also very friendly and helpful. That staff attitude, combined with modest pricing and an excellent selection of good food is deserving of our Five-Star recommendation! You will not be disappointed in your dining here…

We went for a long hike in conifer and stopped here on the way home. The food was bomb and the service was great. I had forgotten my debit card, and they gracefully sent it to me quickly. When I pass back through, I’ll be stopping again!

Edit: In response to the request for more details : I had the Blue Cheese burger and I honestly felt like the blue cheese was old and a little rank. I’m a fan of blue cheese and I know many people think it’s funky, and it is, but this was not that. The blue cheese was old and yucky and I didn’t like it at all.

I’ve genuinely tried to like this place. It was once pretty good. I even picked this place for one of my birthday parties a while back. It was nothing extravagant or worth fawning over, but reliable food and service. Sadly, it’s gotten worse and worse lately. This review is based on three different visits, I’ve kept wanting to enjoy my time here, but it’s just not worth it to me anymore.

The service was good & our server was friendly, prompt, and respectful. We had two burgers (brooks burger & Cajun blue cheese burger) two cocktails (Bourbon peach tea & strawberry sangria) and a kids Mac & cheese. The brooks was enjoyable but I wished the guacamole was more flavorful because I almost couldn’t taste it at all. It just taste like a normal cheese burger until I added the green chili. The bourbon peach cocktail was lackluster and watered down unfortunately, I even had to add a sugar pack to my drink to make it taste better (still wasn’t great). Cajun blue cheese burger didn’t taste like a $13 burger, just a bit bland so I added my french fries to it. The strawberry cocktail was good but it didn’t taste very sangria-esc. The kids Mac was great though we all enjoyed a bit of it and it was very toddler friendly. Over all we did have a good time out as a family, the atmosphere was comfortable, and we left with our bellies full.

This is a great little restaurant in town offering some good food and brews. They have many different beers on tap that will please your pallet. They also in addition to their regular bruise have guest brews that they feature.
